Due to overwhelming demand, critically celebrated Mongolian rock band THE HU have today announced their debut trip to New Zealand in August 2022. Performing at Auckland’s Powerstation on Thursday 11 August, the Black Thunder Tour will give fans the chance to hear new music from The HU’s highly anticipated sophomore album, due later this year. 

Tickets go on sale at 11am, Friday June 17.

My Live Nation members can secure tickets during the pre-sale which commences at 11am on Thursday June 16, and concludes at 10am on Friday June 17.

Proving their global appeal, The HU have sold out venues across the world in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, with scheduled festival appearances at Coachella, Lollapalooza, Download Festival, and more, creating a community of fans from all walks of life. They quickly grabbed the attention of the industry, leading to collaborations with Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach and Lzzy Hale of Halestorm. 

Their debut album, 2019 ‘s The Gereg, debuted at #1 on the World Album and Top New Artist Charts. With it, the band have accumulated over 250 million combined streams and video views to date and have received critical acclaim from the likes of Billboard, NPR, GQ, The Guardian, The Independent, Revolver, and even Sir Elton John himself. 

Readying their next chapter as a global force, The HU are putting the finishing touches on their highly anticipated sophomore album, which is due for a global release later this year from Better Noise Music. The project will include a selection of tracks that were premiered live on the band’s critically acclaimed North American tour at the end of 2021.

  • Worth seeing for the 10th time

    Our Twin daughters got us listening to The Hu. And we have Travelled to several states to see them in multiple types of venues. So worth seeing them and doing the VIP experience. Enjoyed each and every time we've seen them (believe its been 10 times now) cant wait to see them again! One of the most unique and beautiful bands we've seen. You literally feel their music in your soul. The group is extremely nice and enjoyed meeting them looking forward to hearing and seeing them again.

    This was a fantastic show! The Hu is an extremely fun band to watch and the music Rocks so Hard! It was an awesome experience and a great date with my wife! I would totally go again.

    We waited in line an hour outside to get in. Once in, we waiting another hour and 17 minutes for The Hu to come on, play for not even 1.5 hours, then be booted out by staff around 10:30. Apparently the opener, The Funeral Portrait, who we were looking forward to seeing, didn't show up. NO notice was sent out by The House of Blues or Ticketmaster. No announcement was even made at the venue! Ticketmaster & The House of Blues should give a partial refund! This should have proactively been done! To sum up, we waited longer for the band to start then the length they actually played! Not worth the $$$ spent!!!

    You absolutely cannot miss this incredible VIP experience with this amazing band! Just imagine the thrill of meeting them before the show, getting to ask your burning questions, and even enjoying a small jam session together. And don't forget the priceless photo opportunity!     I took a friend to see the HU who has never heard them before, and I have never seen them live. This was by far and none one of the best concerts I have ever gone to. The HU were masters on the stage and rocked the whole damn house down. I left there wanting to buy a sword a horse and to conquer!!! If you like rock and metal music, definitely give this a listen live!
