Wow! We had a most enjoyable evening at the historic NYC Town Hall with The Hitmen. The musicians are all so talented and we enjoyed hearing their experiences in the music business..it was definitely a trip through memory lane! We would definitely go hear them again.
From beginning to end, I was enthralled. Completely taken over by the incredible music. If you haven't seen the Hit Men yet, you ought to start stalking them now. If you've seen them already, then you probably already are.
show was great! Rock and Roll is here forever and this group made it just so super special
The HIt Men bring the house down! People were singing - dancing - just having a blast. They performed hit after wonderful hit - telling stories about various songs - or events that took place while performing in the past. Each member brings so much talent to the stage - it's just an amazing show. A MUST SEE for all. Trust me, as soon as you hear the music - you'll be singing and tapping your feet. Gerry, Jimmy, Larry, Russ and Lee - thank you for putting this group together - WE MISSED YOU!
Oh, what a night.! A must see show. Extremely talented musicians and vocalists. Songs you will remember and want to sing along to all night. The concert left you wanting it to never end but leaving you with the question, Where are they appearing next? Don't miss this show. I know I'm going back. The guys in the band just keep getting better with every show I've seen.
If you love the music of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, Tommy James & the Shondells, Carly Simon, Cat Stevens, Jim Croce and Elton John - it doesn't get any better than this!!! I just saw The Hit Men at Mohegan Sun Resort & Casino, and they are tremendous. A couple of the guys actually were original members of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons and they sound like they did on the original recordings. And...the 'insider" stories they tell about what it was like on the road and in the recording studios with these mega-star acts really give you a fascinating look back into rock and roll history. "Oh, What a Night!"
Loved the show! Very entertaining! The acts were great. Enjoyed hearing about the various backgrounds of The Hit Men.
The Hit Men include three former members of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons: guitarist Don Ciccone (who was also in the Critters before the Seasons and Tommy James and the Shondells after the Seasons), keyboardist Lee Shapiro and drummer Gerry Polci. These three are great musicians who played on two of the Seasons' biggest hits (Who Loves You and Oh, What a Night) and toured with Frankie for many years during the Seasons' 1970s second life. The other two Hit Men are guitarist Jim Ryan, who played with such people as Carly Simon and Cat Stevens, and guitarist Larry Gates, who worked with Carole King and Desmond Child. The largest part of the concert is Four Seasons songs, with Ryan ably doing the Valli parts and Gerry Polci sounding as good as ever singing lead on Oh, What a Night as he did in 1976. These are the songs that are knocking out audiences every night in the hit play Jersey Boys in theaters from Broadway and Las Vegas to London and Sydney. The versatile Hit Men also did songs by Tommy James, the Critters, Jim Croce, Cat Stevens, Carly Simon and Barry Manilow (Could It Be Magic? with Don Ciccone singing lead), all of which were enjoyable. In only its second gig, this all-star band was incredibly tight and polished. The whole show was dynamite. The audience loved every minute.
It was so wonderful to see all of the songs I love played with such proficiency and energy. It was truly a remarkable experience and I can't wait to see them again.
