Awesome! The guys played almost every Good Rats song you could ask for. Pepi's sons did a great job on vocals. I flew in from Chicago just for the show. I will fly in next year if they play another reunion. Rat on!
The show was amazing, Gene and Stefan did their father proud, the band was on key with every note and such energy from all! Place was packed standing room only and we had the best seats right up against the stage just like the old days at Zaffys when we pulled the table up against the stage so Peppi could walk on it and bang the bat!! lol. I hope it will not be the last reunion even though they said it would be! Peppi we will never forget you thank you for the decades of wonderful music and fond memories. Lynne Bia
A beautiful goodbye to one of the greatest bands ever, bar none, that outside of New York many may not know. Peppi Marchello passed away last year and his two sons, Gene and Stefan, stepped up and did their dad proud on vocals thru out the night. Dee Snider of Twisted Sister stopped in to sing "Don't Hate The Ones That Bring You Rock And Roll". It was a stellar evening, and the band. What a band. It will be quite sad not being able to hear this amazing band again. Cheers, guys, and thank you for the incredible music.
Having never seen the original lineup of the Good Rats in the 70's or 80's I really wanted to feel that I have experienced their music and intensity. I did catch Peppi and his sons during the 90's in other bands, playing some Good Rats music incidentally, so I did have the pleasure of meeting him and hearing him sing live. But I was saddened to know of his passing in that his great talent and edge will never be heard as a club act again. This was a fitting tribute to him, what with his similarly talented family there to honor him along with his fans. I am glad to have taken part in this final evening of tribute.
I remember sitting up against the stage for the first final original Good Rats show on New Year's Eve 1980 and felt those same emotions last Saturday watching the Original Line up with Geno and Stefan sing lead for Peppi, making this show a much sadder and emotional event for in 1980 the was the promise of the revised line up finally making the big time, but that was not to be.
This was a final tribute to founder and legendary songwriter PeppiMarchello. The band included original members as well as his 2 sons: Stefan andGene. They switched off vocals and both possessed the stage presence reminiscent of Peppi. Dee Snider made a guest appearance and sang "don't hate the ones that bring you rock and roll" and had a funny anecdote about the song.
Great show! Great sound! Pepi's kids did an amazing job signing the lead vocals. The rest of the band were awesome. I flew into NYC from Chicago just for this show. I am so glad I did. I hope the band will get together and continue to play reunion shows. A must see for any RAT fan. Plus, it was a nice tribute to Pepi.
Great show, the Rats never disappoint. Losing Peppi was devastating but his sons, family, and band mates made it a memorable show. It was sad and beautiful at the same time. RIP Peppi, you were a great musician, singer and songwriter.

What's to say? The Band sounded great. It was an emotional send off for Pepe. I am sure he is very proud of his sons who channeled him the whole evening.
