About

The Glitch Mob, comprised of Ed Ma (edIT) and Josh Mayer (Ooah) continue forward in 2024. Based in Los Angeles, they came together around 2006, through a mutual love of underground rave culture.

Their first three albums - Drink the Sea, Love Death Immortality, and See Without Eyes - took them on a decade long adventure of headline shows and massive festival stages across the globe, leading the charge with high-end production.

Always determined to evolve, innovate, and experiment, The Glitch Mob have returned to the underground with a slate of original music and collaborations on their new label imprint, All The People - a love letter to rave culture. From the music to their live shows, this new era centers around community, authenticity, immersion, and most of all - connection to the culture that brought them together.

  • Late, Wait, Whoa.

by Yonj on 6/27/11The Regency Ballroom - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

Lined up early, landed at the beginning of the line-ish.. band rolls up 20 minites later. so needless to say it was a while before they started to play. opening acts were mediocre, the first being an endless montstrosity and the second proving decent by the end.. but combined they filled an hour. band itself was much better, and played a really solid show with a 3 song encore to 1:15ish. id go again..

  • Glitch Mob = obvious must see

by Anonymous on 6/27/11The Regency Ballroom - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Front and center, the experience was impossible to forget. The bass was pumpin', the people were jumpin', and the bands absolutely killed it. Props to Ana Sia who played so loud one of her units fell of the table from the vibrations. Visuals were spectacular for all bands, too!

  • Glitch Mob @Regency Ballroom

by Dhymemond on 6/27/11The Regency Ballroom - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

The show started a little late but was definitely worth it! The show was a non-stop party and we had an amazing time.

  • Let Down...

by saintstreet on 6/27/11The Regency Ballroom - San FranciscoRating: 1 out of 5

The Wait: The doors were an hour late to open, the first act started 30 minutes after that. When it was The Glitch Mob's turn to play the lights turned on and we had to wait another 30 minutes. By the time they started everyone was too tired from sitting stagnant for the last 3 hours. The Quality: The first few acts demonstrated why so many people hate electronic music; Generic, Repetitive, and Annoying. It all sounded like the cheap background music of last decades gangsta rap, lacked any danceable rhythm, and one of the DJs train wrecked. When the Glitch Mob actually started (Playing Daft Punk's "Derezzed") I thought the show was gonna be great. Boy, was i wrong. The rest of their set had zero energy and couldn't retain a proper flow. The Show: The effects were generic lasers and fog for the opening DJs and the light towers were well used by the glitch mob during their first couple songs, but i couldn't help getting the feeling that they were just following a script (since they had no energy at all). The acrobat was a nice touch, but the music was boring and that is what i went there for. Overall: The Glitch Mob started in SF and i thought they would come out swinging, instead they failed to impress even slightly. I left feeling betrayed and cheated.

  • AWESOME but late

by Mahasti on 6/27/11The Regency Ballroom - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

GLITCH MOB WAS AWESOME don't get me wrong. But the first opener went on way too long and I started to get bored. The second opener was amazing but still I felt it was too long. Glitch Mob came ON at 11:30..weird b/c the concert "started" at 8 (they let us in at around 9:30. This displeases me b/c even at KIDCUDI they started on time (8) and KidCudi came on at a reasonable time (9) and played until 11. SO Glitch Mob give a little more to your fans and come on stage at 9:30/10.

  • Glitch Mob brang down the house!

by LCRad on 6/27/11The Regency Ballroom - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Such an amazing performance! Glitch Mob did a variety of old and new songs, they were all really really good. I really liked the venue too.

  • Best show I've seen in a long time.

by Phrawgboi on 6/27/11The Regency Ballroom - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

The Glitch Mob was fantastic. Can't wait to see them again. Ana Sia killed it.

  • by LKSDJFSLDKFH on 6/27/11The Regency Ballroom - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

ummm, the glitch mob. anything more to say? i have no idea how the "instruments" worked, but it was really cool to watch music actually being made live through the, i dunno what they are called, drum machines? aerial performer, too :) lights/set up was cool, bathroom line WAY TOO LONG. and no gum policy, forgot about that. (regency, you owe me $1!!!) an awkward, bewildered guy approached us after the show to help find his face, since it "melted during the show" ha

  • Great, but smokey!

by mreyessf on 6/27/11The Regency Ballroom - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

The Glitch Mob was AWESOME! Ana Sia and Comma were definitely rocked, and exceeded my expectations. My only issue was the amount of smoke - be it pot or cigarrettes. I know that events always have smokers, but I felt like I couldn't get away from it. I think I actually suffered a little contact high, it really sucked.

  • Worst Glitch Mob Show Ever

by HOV27 on 6/27/11The Regency Ballroom - San FranciscoRating: 1 out of 5

I have been to countless Glitch Mob shows over the years. This will be my last. The past two shows have been all ages and have nothing to do with the group that originally started it all. Completely rehearsed, studio quality with no heart. Shameful! This used to be a gritty, dirty sound that has been refined for the likes of disney listeners.

Glitch Mob Rocks! The beats were fly and the lights were rockin'.

  • EPIC

I highly recommend seeing these guys in concert. They killed it for hours and their light show and performance was top notch!

  • Glitch Mob takes it to the next level

    by Laggy2da on 6/16/11Revolution - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Glitch Mob is- hands down- the best electronic music performance you'll see. Unlike most electronic shows you'll see it's not a bunch of guys standing around spinning records or pretending to twiddle knobs on their laptop. They play live using customized drum pads. Great stage presence, great energy, and epic music.

  • awesome!

by spazyfairy on 4/24/11Catalyst - Santa CruzRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen them twice now and both times their sets were awesome! All the levels were right and they looked like they were having a blast. They're a must-see.

  • Digital rock stars

by Wondermarq on 3/27/11Electric Zoo @ Randall's Island - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I was upset I missed the first few songs of their set because of the long ass security check at the gate. But these guys put on a killer set. I love how they've transitioned from DJ's to incorporating real instruments into their live performance. These guys put Lemurs on the map and taking electronic music performance to a new level. Really nice guys as wells. They hung out afterwards and handed out CD's and took pics with fans. Can't wait to see them again.

  • Did not deliver!

by Anonymous on 3/7/11Aerospace Museum - San DiegoRating: 2 out of 5

Kept waiting for them to go hard or play something memorable but it never really came. Much better producers than performers. However, it could have been due to the fact that they were playing at a primarily Dubstep concert. Perhaps they felt like they needed to dumb their music down for that type of crowd.
