It was an awesome experience! Love the venue and would definitely do it again.
I thought the Bluffs tent was a disappointment this year. The food was cheap , the tickets weren’t. Been in the tent 3 yrs in a row. Won’t go back.
The tournament was ok, we got a lot of good views of the players and stuff. The cost of everything is just through the roof. They just take advantage of these inflationary times and Jack the prices way up. Double the prices of just a few years ago. How are the poor kids that they claim to want to improve access for going to attend these events. Shocking!!
Enjoyed the Venue and the Excellence of all parties involved. Missed Tiger and glad he is OK.
Tournament and course officials know how to run a golf tournament, unlike LA Country Club last year. Food and restrooms were easily available and not outrageously priced. You could follow a group with no interruptions. One suggestion: build a few more viewing stands, like at 10th green, for any class of ticket holder. The shuttle to Santa Monica was also efficient. Definitely Worth going to this to event.
On Thursday, we watched Tiger on 3 different holes, including walking up 17 and 18 with him. What a thrill! In all we walked over 9 miles, so no workout needed that day. Wonderful to see the best players in golf there. Sorry there was a cut to 50 players. Sunday went way too fast! With the reduced field and increased crowds, it was hard to get to see all the players. Riviera is the best course I know for seeing the players up close, which is a huge part of the attraction. Enjoyed it immensely and hope to be able to walk the hills of Riviera for years to come.
Easy to order tickets, add to wallet and redeem. I struggle with some apps at times. Fun PGA event.
Easy way to purchase tickets for events . You can follow instructions easy and get tickets.
For the second year in a row, I went on cut day (Friday) and the food stands on multiple locations were out of pretzels, hotdogs, especially the food stand between the third and 17th hole. I voiced my concern last year and the same thing happened again this year.
We were pleased with the organization of the shuttle and entrance. Enjoyed seeing many of our favorite golfers tee off, hit from the fairways or on the greens. We were disappointed that when we arrived at the 17th and went to our assigned seats, the volunteers did not know which side was Green 1 and which one was Green. They had told those who had already arrived that the seating was first come first serve not specifically assigned seats by row and seat number. There was too much movement during the event. We had to move several times. I went back out to the volunteers at the front and they said they were never given specific instructions on how patrons should be seated
Wonderful venue and exciting to see all the great golfers. Relatively easy to get around . Food and drinks not cheap though.
All the volunteers and security staff were very friendly. One of my guest had difficulty in walking and the cart staff were very accommodating in getting us up to the the club house. I would also like to thank Patrick in security for his exemplary service going above and beyond. Everyone we met seemed happy in helping out the patrons.
the tournament was great, Surprised that there was not a larger crowd attending. There were so many big name players that we had the opportunity to see much fantastic golf,
Not the best experience I've had at a golf tournament. My ticket was good anyday from TH-Sat. I'm guessing most people attended os Sat thus crowd was too large for venue. 45 min wait for bus, 20 min wait to enter tournament, longer than usual lines for food and bathroom. Limited grandstand seating -- I was unable to secure a seat. I would not attend this event again.
The shuttle bus got us there in a timely fashion. Scanning tickets at entry was without incident. Disappointed that there were no paper Pairing Sheets, only on the phone. Riviera was beautiful. A bonus that Tiger made the cut. A lot of walking if you want to see the whole course. A bit limited on public seating grandstands. Food and refreshments were readily available. All volunteers were friendly and helpful when answering questions. The Riviera clubhouse gift shop was very expensive. The tournament merchandise building was pretty small. Their prices were comparable to other tournaments' merchandise. Return shuttle to Santa Monica was fast with many shuttles running. Parking in Santa Monica garages was $20 on the weekday and $25 on the weekend.
I arrive. Standing outside 1st fairway. Ball literally drops at my feet. It's Gary woodlands ball. He comes over. I'm in shock. People Standing quietly around him. He plays his shot. 11 minutes later another ball lands at my feet. It's max Homa s ball. I'm like this is amazing. He hits his shot. How do they concentrate. I walk up the hill TIGER is approaching 10th hole. I get my spot. I see him swing. Bucket list... never forget. Then I turn around at ninth green. Rory, Thomas and Viktor. Got to see all my favorite players. Then out of nowhere Josh Allen walks past me. I get a photo. What a day
It was great to see the stars of the PGA Tour showing off their immense talents.
My wife and I had a great time at the Genesis open this year. It's an event that never fails to bring the best golfers in the world to compete, provide lots of drama, on one of the most storied courses!
Very good experience overall Very crowded this year, (compared to others), but the shuttle from Santa Monica was efficient, (about 45 minutes from waiting in line at the bus stop in Santa Monica to entering the golf course). The course was great. Moving around was mostly easy to do, (it was more crowded than usual). Food was good but VERY expensive, ($26 for a sandwich is too much to pay in my opinion).
It was a great event and we loved every minute. It's a terrific course: very walkable and easy to see all the foursomes, even Tiger and the leaders. We bought expensive tix in the Backlot structure and would def not do that again. The food was poor banquet quality with very little variety. Open bar was nice but a long trek to head back there every time we wanted something to drink. And since we were driving home after the event we couldn't drink much after lunch time. Parking in SM, then massive long lines to get on shuttle, then another massive long long to get onto the ground is unavoidable but makes me think we won't attend again. Thanks for putting on a great competition.
