Frank To Brian, Downright incredible
by Caleb9821 on 9/23/09The Music Box at the Fonda - HollywoodFrank Turner shows up on stage with just an acoustic, and he rock the fonda more than an entire regular band possibly could, i got friggin tears in my eyes when he played "long live the queen". The loved ones get on and the lead singer shares a swig of Maker's Mark with a fan and then shake the venue with their loudness, they were pretty good, but one song in particular, the second to last i believe, was incredible. Murder by death went on, with the lead singer holding a ridiculously awesome guitar that i think only he could pull off, and they rocked my ears harder then the punk band before them, thier version of Nancy Sinatra's "My Baby Shot Me Down" was nothing short of nirvana. Then, The Gaslight Anthem Get's up in stage and plays "High Lonesome" with amazing enthusiam, then they proceeded to play the entire album "The 59' Sound" and a few other songs, including: Blue Jeans And White T-Shirts (incredible), We Came To Dance (personal Favorite), Boomboxes And Dictionaries, and, a song they claim they do not play very often, We're Getting A Divorce, You Keep The Diner, overall, the show was nothing short of what I was hoping for, perfection. I would recommend any of these bands to anyone who can appreciate true music in its most mesmerizing state.
