THE FRONT BOTTOMS IN CONCERT:
Quirky pop rockers The Front Bottoms never fail to get audiences singing along to each upbeat melody and heartfelt sentiment in concert. With lyrics that alternate between sincere poetry and tongue-in-cheek humor, frontman Brian Sella always invokes serious feels among ticket buyers. As he strums away at his acoustic guitar, booming drums and melodic basslines add a muscular punch to fan favorites like “Twin Size Mattress”, “Laugh Till I Cry”, and “The Plan”. The group's kaleidoscopic approach also incorporates French horn, accordion, and synthesizers to make sure each song brings a unique sound to the stage. The resulting live experience is an endearing combination of geeky charm, sophisticated arrangements, and first-rate hooks, helping The Front Bottoms win over new fans any time they play on tour, which is maybe why they've brought multiple venues to capacity, like Aztec Theatre.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Lead singer and guitarist Brian Sella started The Front Bottoms in 2007 with his childhood friend, drummer Mathew Uychich. They quickly expanded to a full a lineup with Uychich’s brother Brian joining on keyboards for their 2008 debut I Hate My Friends. They established a dedicated following in their native Woodcliffe, NJ before expanding their fanbase with a DIY national tour. In 2010 the group generated serious online buzz with the release of a self-titled album and a viral music video for the song “Maps”, which expanded their following even further and led to bigger shows. Their growing legion of fans showed their support by helping the group crack the Billboard 200 with their next album, 2013’s Talon of the Hawk. The Front Bottoms continue to thrill fans of indie rock with exuberant performances and fun-loving albums like 2015’s stellar Back on Top.

This was a small venue but it provided a great atmosphere. The opener, A Great Big Pile Of Leaves was great and The Front Bottoms brought the house down! It was amazing.
