    Four Tops & Temptations

by Jim022549 on 2/16/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the venue, as we had never been there before. We were very pleased by the Temps performance realizing that there was only one of the original Temps. on stage. We felt they did a great job and they really had the house rocking, however, we felt that the Four Tops seemed flat and did not live up to the hype. They seemed to dwell on their tribute to their past and lost members, which was important to recognize, but not to dwell on.

    four tops and temptations

by nightingale3 on 2/15/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

absolutly amazing enjoyed immensely these groups did more for america than just create the music soundtrack of our lives. They brought honor to their race in a time of terrible tension and I believe they did a great deal toward ending racism and bringing ab out true integration and freedom for blacks in america. we will forever be aligned with them in their music and they will remain a celebration in our lives forever.Thank you ! Love YOU!

    Great show!

by dawniedo on 2/15/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

We sat in the second row and the show was fantastic! The Temptations were full of energy, sounded great, and were even funny at times for a full hour and a half or more. The Four Tops only played for 50 minutes but it was a great show. Both groups got us on our feet singing, dancing, and clapping our hands.

I loved the Temptations and the Four Tops. The energy was amazing, it brought back so many memories. They made sure the audience interacted. Great Performance and I loved the tribute to the members who have passed. I hope they came back to this area soon as I want to go again.

I think the Temptations were great. Unfortunately the 4 Tops put a downer on the show with the tribute to the lost Tops. The Temptations had us ready to get up and dance in the aisles with singing and laughing.

    disapointing

by chuckDi on 2/13/11Meyerhoff Symphony Hall - Baltimore

In the Temptations their is only one original left, I do not think he sang a note. They were loud but not smooth. The selection of songs was not their best. In our row we had 4 people leave and not return for the second half. The four tops, at least the one that is left in the group sang a few songs. Where we sat, center I had lights flashing in my eyes many times during the show. I regularly go to the Meyerhof but this time I was disappointed, they continued to seat people over 1/2 hr after the performance started. Walking directly in front of our seating

    temptations awesome

by Anonymous on 2/13/11Meyerhoff Symphony Hall - Baltimore

Both bands were great but they should have switched the order. The Temptations came on first and had the crowd rocking in the aisles. Four Tops never could get the audience back to that type of energy.

    Temptations were AWESOME!

by edwilke on 2/13/11Meyerhoff Symphony Hall - Baltimore

The Temptations were incredible but the sound was nothing like I have heard at past Meyerhoff concerts. It was terrible, just like the four tops except for the last member of the Four Tops and the nephew. Why in the world would they have the closing spot sounding like that. The person that went with me was going to sleep beause of the excitement that was not there. I would recommend this concert if the Temptations were by themselves or with another groups and they wre not the opening act.

Temptations and 4 Tops...still got it!!!

by Dalace on 2/13/11Meyerhoff Symphony Hall - Baltimore

I believe The Temptations should have been second and presented as the main act. Not only have they been doing this for over 40 years straight but have more hits than the 4 Tops. But with that being said they both did a wonderful job bringing the people to their feet and dancing in the aisles. The band (including Adrian Williams, nephew of Original Temptation, Paul Williams) did a great job keeping the hits steady and loud. The Dancing, The Music, The Group, and being able to shake Otis Williams hand at the end made this event an unforgettable one!!!!!! I recommend this show to anyone who appreciates music from Motown!!

    Temps and Tops were Magical

by Smitty59 on 2/12/11Meyerhoff Symphony Hall - Baltimore

The show opened with the Temps. It was fantastic to see Otis and the group did the Temptations' name justice. I was taken back to the '60s and beyond with their amazing sound. The Tops followed the Temps and they, too, brought their "A" game for the night. They brought us the old sound, sometimes with a new twist, but nevertheless an incredible performance. These two groups entertained in such a way as to invite you in to their circle for a private party. Fantastic show and I'd go see it again!

by nigerianne on 2/12/11Meyerhoff Symphony Hall - Baltimore

The concert was awesome! The music was incredible and the audience could not sit still! There was dancing in the aisles and even after the event was over! I was pleased to see that the concert was well-attended by a diversity of people and of various ages. I am extremely happy I went. Four Tops and Temptations - you go, boys! Keep on rockin'!
