Excellent, but no better than the best 'Lookalikes'

by markflower on 10/26/10Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

No doubting the musical prowess (including vocals), enthusiasm and accuracy of these guys; thoroughly recommended. I hesitate to add a negative note, but the fact is in being as good as it gets from a technical and accuracy point of view, they were no better in these respects than the best 'theatrical' presentations where the band play the 'characters' in the band. By 'the best' here in terms of bands I've seen I'm referring to the US's Fab Four and the UK's Bootleg Beatles. In my opinion the dress, the accents, the humour and the mannerisms all add alot to the experience (and you don't miss the doubling up of vocals and intruments etc).

    Fab Faux is Four Real

by gr8mtn on 10/26/10Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

What can I say...this is the third time I have seen this band. Flew to L.A. from the Bay Area twice and saw them once in 2010 in SF. Amazing musicians performing Beatles music that the Beatles themselves never performed live because they essentially became studio artists in the latter 3/4 of their careers. No wigs, no fake British accents, just note for note renditions of the songs themselves with every detail and nuance of the studio recordings (real violins, cellos, horns, harps, etc.) Amazing stuff.

    the fab faux rocked!!

by fauxforever on 10/25/10Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

First let me commend the good folks at the Orpheum. My niece is in a wheelchair and the way they accomodated her was outstanding. Kudos to them for that. Then the show itself. I am partial to the Revolver album, and I loved their renditions. That alone would have made the night for me. Then Pepper and the encores.... what a truly amazing show! Will Lee must be the "leader", what a charasmatic guy. Jimmy and the rest of the gang, they are all great. Got my calendar marked for next October when they come back!

    The Fab Faux were amazing!

by NewFauxFanForLife on 10/25/10Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

The Fab Faux were really amazing last night! They are the best tribute band of all time, and they happened to pick the right band to pay tribute to. They performed the entire Revolver (UK version that includes 3 more songs than the US version) and SGT. Peppers albums! They were simply awesome. Oh Darling, for one of the encores, killed. The Fab Faux are able to show us what a powerful and diverse band the Beatles were. Bravo Will Lee and Co.!! I will be there next year!

I took my Beatlemaniac husband for his birthday and all I can is is wow! They did Sgt. Pepper's lonely Heart club Band ( yes the whole album) and revolver (yes whole thing!) the instrument changes the atmosphere of all Beatle lovers just made the music so much better. Go see them if they ever play near you!

    Fab Faux Does it Again

by Antstay on 10/25/10Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

I will, hopefully, never miss seeing The Fab Faux whenever they're in L.A. They never cease to amaze us. Spot-on interpretation of The Beatles, no matter which tune they're doing. Love them!!!!

You owe to yourself to see Fab Faux

by shandobass on 10/25/10Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

Fab Faux got the boomer audience on their feet without use of their walkers. Outstanding show. Both the listener and the band fed off the energy of a fantastic group of musicians playing brilliant music. In the future, do yourself a favor and just do it.

The Fab Faux never fails to entertain

by deedee67 on 10/25/10Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

These guys are not a Beatles tribute band. They don't dress up like the Beatles. They recreate the Beatles music, note for not. The stage is full of instruments. It's an exciting event

    Fab Faux Orpheum Theater

by ChrisPut on 10/25/10Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

What a show. They didn't share until at the end, that this was there first performance of these two albums. in concert. The first part of Revolver they were working out some kinks. This was my only criticism of the show. And this part wasn't as lound as I had hoped. But, from "Got to Get You Into my Life" forward, they were hitting on all cylinders. These guys can play multiple instruments and seem to really enjoy what they are doing. This show was my birthday present and we flew out to L.A. specifically to see them. They did not dissappoint. The encore was also amazing. I wish that they would come to Dallas sometime, so I don't have to travel so far to see them.

    FAB Evening

by Ultrafan on 10/25/10Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

The concert was unforgettable- definitely Fab but far from Faux. The band members are all superb musicians and their live take on classic Beatles albums is simply amazing. They played both Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's in their entirety and, had they ended there, the crowd would have gone home happy. But, during the encore, they blasted such classics as While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Oh Darling with such conviction that the audience stood and cheered.

Fab Faux was exactly that - FABULOUS!

by Anonymous on 10/25/10Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

If anyone has not seen this band - RUN ! Don't walk to get tickets.. RUN! They are that good. Someone on You Tube has said that this band is NOT a Beatles copy band, they reproduce the music the way an orchestra reproduces Beethoven. That's exactly it! It doesn't matter who sings what songs. No one is the 'Paul, or John" it's who fits the best. They all sing, they all play different instruments. Will Lee is amazing on bass and hoot to watch as well. You can tell each one of these guys love this music. I've never seen this many guitar changes in a set on stage as this either. It was great!! The songs sounded amazing. The sound in the Orpheum is no less than spectacular and we were sitting third row from the back and it was still great and not a bad seat either. What a grand old theater too. Do yourself a favor if you are a Beatles fan. See this band! You won't regret it.

    Fab Faux Delivers Again

by Beatles65 on 10/25/10Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

I thoroughly enjoyed the albums Revolver and Sergeant Peppers in their entirety. I've now seen the Fab Faux around 10 times in New York City and Los Angeles. The most impressive thing about their shows is their versatility. All 5 guys are fine vocalists and their musicianship is impeccable. The attention to detail is amazing. They do not short change any of the songs, even the relatively minor ones. Every show is slightly different. I look forward to seeing them do the White Album one of these days. My only regret is that they only come to Los Angeles once a year!

    The Fab Faux Still Fabulous

by raquetssf on 10/25/10Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

When you take incredible music (The Beatles) and get great musicians to play it, the combination is unforgettable. Sgt. Pepper must be one of the most intricate creations The Beatles ever recorded, and to have done it live was shear genius.

    Must Hear

by tonemiester on 10/25/10Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

What sets Fab Faux apart from the millions of other Beatles cover bands is the attention to detail and musician ship. You can close your eyes for the entire show and think that you are listening to the records.

    Don't miss the FAB FAUK

by stringsring on 10/25/10Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

If you are a Beatles fan you must eventually get to see these guys, because it will be your only chance to ever see this music truly reproduced live. And if for some bizarre reason you are not, these will show you what you are missing.

    Absolutely Fab

by scooter59 on 10/25/10Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

This was my second time seeing this incredible group of musicians, and hearing the full Revolver and Sgt. Pepper albums back to back was just amazing. This is not a tribute band in the sense they they try to provide an "experience". There are no costumes to speak of, no fake Liverpool accents, and they don't even worry about keeping the band to four musicians. This an extremely talented group of studio players that have the chops to re-create the Beatles studio work in a live setting. These are the best live renditions of Beatles songs that I've ever heard, with the exception of a few covers that McCartney does. For this performance they were joined by a horn section and two string players. Having real instruments play the strings to "Eleanor Rigby" is so much better than someone playing it on a keyboard.

    WOW!

by Mtpgzby on 10/25/10Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

Amazing performance by very talented musicians. Brought my older kids this time and they were in awe as well. I only wish that they performed more frequently in L.A. Very few people got to hear the Beatles live. And with the stadiums and screaming and poor sound systems no one really heard them live except for the early club days. And once they started evolving, most of their music was too complicated to perform live. But the Fab Faux make it real. It's hard to explain but they provide a very moving, exciting experience.
