Super cute! Was better than I expected! Kept the littlest entertained the whole time!! Highly recommend
The father is dead, they spend xmas without him, sort of depressing. Hard to hear and understand the elves sing. Id skip.
The show was very well done, it kept my five year old granddaughters attention the whole time. The actors were great and costumes and stage were in point!
My wife and I took our Grandkids and my 5 year old Granddaughter's friend with us to the play. This event was very good. The children were in fascination at every moment. The second half was the most entertaining and up lifting.
My kids LOVED it. Everyone was very nice and pretty well organized. They made us wait in the cold in the beginning, but after we were inside the theater life was great!
The Civic Center operation was very smooth and easy to navigate. The show itself was very entertaining with high quality acting and singing that the kids loved.
We drove 2 hours to see the show and it was worth every single mile. A good mixture of vocals and acting. My kids and I really enjoyed it this holiday season! Well done!
The show itself was entertaining and enjoyable. Volume was great up in the balcony. The time started late which left ancy kids and another had a meltdown. Sitting patiently is hard for littles. I’d suggest backup entertainment for those 10-15 mins kids had to sit there waiting. Also, alcohol offered to parents would have made my time more enjoyable as a parent.
Not sure what I was expecting, but I was disappointed in this show. My 8-yr-old grandson was bored. The theatre was noisy with toddlers who couldn’t possibly sit still for duration of the performance. And the sound system was terrible. Truly below my expectations for the amount paid for the ticket.
Great storyline with all the dancing and singing little kids love with a heartfelt message as well! Really great program!
I took my grand daughter and 2 other family member and I payed a good deal for the tickets. The performance was good and I loved the story line. About 30 into the performance about 75 people with a lot of children were allowed to come in during the performance. They were talking , the children were running in the isles and babies were crying. They were just picking random seats and piling three children in their laps so no one could see. Five minutes after they were seated, they got up because they saw better seats closer to the front. They were not wearing masks and climbing over people. We couldn't hear the performance and I am sure the performers could hear them. My grand daughter was in tears, and there were upset people everywhere. We decided to leave at intermission. What started out as a fun night, turned bad really fast. I don't understand why that many people were allowed to come in during the performance 30 minutes late and be so disruptive.
The show was awesome and the children talked about the show for days. The younger children were mesmerized by the magic of the show and the older children were excited by the theatrics of the show. Parents learned the true meaning of the “Elf on the Shelf”. It was a win-win for everyone.
This was such a perfect intro to musicals and live theater for my 3 year old. She was engaged and smiling the whole show through! Kudos to the cast & crew!
Very adorable and entertaining show. My 3.5 year old had her eyes glued to the stage the entire time. The songs were catchy and great story line. Venue is eh. Workers are rude. Bag size is ridiculous as is the mask requirement for young children.
The muical was cute. I wish they had told us masks were required - we could have brought ones that fit us. My granddaughter and I were seated on the middle isle toward the back. About 5 -10 minutes after the show started, a huge influx of people came into the show and blocked the view while they looked for their seats. For the next 5-10 minutes, my granddaugher was standing up, trying to see the show around all the people who kept coming in. There must have been over 100 people in all that came in right after the show started. where were the ushers?? why were they not told to come in before or made to wait one group at a time to be shown to their seats. It seems like this could have been easily prevented if there was a 5 minute notice that the show was starting.
We enjoyed the show so much. We bought the VIP tickets and really enjoyed seeing the elves come to life. We thought there would be more to the VIP - maybe a program, a fun printable, something. VIP included a photo, with no link to retrieve the photo. I feel like our picture is on a camera and we will never actually get to see it. We got a VIP lanyard on the way out of the show, it was too little, too late though. I really want my photo... or instructions on how to get my photo..
Super cute story however, targeted to adults and older children. My 4 year old did not completely understand it all. Also the step up song seemed targeted to adults, somewhat harsh. Wish they had mentioned mask required throughout show before tickets purchased. Also only 1 door open at center and made almost everyone late getting in to the show.
We paid for front row VIP and we had two huge monitor blocking our view these should have only been sent obstructed view tickets .. we got moved to seats that would have originally cost 1/3 of what I paid for the front row. The meet and great was a total waste. The musical itself was cute once we finally could see 3/4 of the way through the first half.
The event could have been better. We saw lots of families leaving before the end.
An enjoyable evening out with our grandchildren. From dressing up for a fun evening out, to guessing where we were going, to finding our seats. Set your expectations for an auditorium experience, not a theater and you won't be disappointed. Light theatrics with a flying elf brought smiles to lots of faces. I was disappointed with the spin on a fatherless family being made a part of the evening. The reality that is a hard part of too many lives, on an evening of lighthearted pleasure, could have have easily been arranged better. The overall story of the Elf, scouting for Santa, and bringing joy into a disrupted family, like a magnate giving hope to a brighter future was an uplifting story, and an enjoyable night out.
