Wonderful music, wonderful voices, wonderful band.
The Doo Wop Project put on a great show. We attended with friends and we all loved the show. Wonderful music and a joy to watch the guys.
I was completely unaware of this Doo Wop group before the concert I attended. They were fabulous. The individual talent on display was awesome. The music and showmanship were first rate, broadway level. This group gave a great performance and seemed to be enjoying themselves as much as those of us watching them. Can't wait to see them again.
We really enjoyed the Doo Wop show. My husband said he was feeling a little down before we went, but after listening to all that old music he felt great. He even wanted to get up and dance. We had a great night, can't wait until they come back.
The Doo Wop Project guys were fantastic. They put on quite a show filled with the songs from when I was much younger. They were so upbeat and just brought the audience into their enthusiasm. Such fun remembering the tunes they they performed so well. Can't wait to see them again.
This group was Awsome! Both the old DooWop & the New DooWopafied songs were better than the original versions! Their energy and engaging stories and antics were totally entertaining. The Band, Arrangements & Vocals were well worth fighting the Ocean City Cruzin Weekend Traffic!
Show runs for about 1 1/2 hours. They perform several doo wop hits from many groups (many deceased). They also perform Motown and Franki Valli (both Valli performers are in the group). Some rock n roll from the early fifties comes over well. They share many stories of the singers that they admire. One, of the singers, is related to Johnnie Maestro of the Brooklyn Bridge. I've seen the original performers in concert. The Doo Wop Project does a creditable job.
My fiance took me to experience the DOO WOP concert as a surprise and BOY WAS I! I was completely mesmerized the entire show. They are an amazing group of musically talented men (and one woman). I can't wait to go again!
We saw the The Doo Wop Project in Ocean City, MD at the Performing Arts Center. The group was fantastic! Their harmonies and talent provided for a great evening. We will certainly see them again and would recommend them to anyone who likes Doo Wop, soul or R&B music.
These guys harmonize wonderfully. The energy and interaction with the audience was fantastic from the start. Definitely a trip down memory lane with their own twist on a few songs. I will definitely go see them again and highly recommend this show to doo wop lovers.
I don't think I will ever see a show this good! It literally has everything and the guys were so good. Sat right in front of Star Jones and she was even more into it than I was!!
I can hardly decide which superlatives to use to describe the fabulous concert these young men put on for us in Monroe Township, New Jersey last night. What an absolute treat! My friends and I didn't want the concert to end. We could have listened to them for hours more. That said, if you check out the video on "You Tube" to get a sense of what the performance might be like, I'm certain you'll be pleasantly surprised to realize how much more wonderful yet they sound in person. Yes, I suspect that like me, you'll be thrilled by their delightful harmonies as well as mesmerized by how they can fill the room with such amazing sounds when they sing a cappella. In other words, if you are ever anywhere close to where "The Doo Wop Project" is performing, make certain you go to see them.
The show was wonderful, what a talented group of singers and musicians, I would go again, my only complaint is the idiots that wait in the hall drinking, and then want to go to their seats once the show has started, and the one couple that brought their very young baby to the show who right in the middle decided to start crying, it took them 5 mins to get smart and leave the seating area, THANK YOU....
This show was outstanding. Singers were very high energy, dancing to every song. All the singers were amazing and you could tell they truly enjoyed entertaining. The show ran through from 8 - 9:30 without an intermission, and I loved that idea. Once the singers had momentum and the attention of the audience, they just continued the show until the end. Loved the entire production. Would recommend this to anyone. It was not your typical old time doo wop, but instead they put a modern spin to current songs to have the doo wop sound. Awesome!!!!!
This group captures the 50's Doo Wop Style completely...harmonies were top notch. Would definitely go to see them again. Especially liked the Smokey Robinson portion and Frankie Valley songs!
Such great talent and wonderful songs.. All cast members appeared on Broadway's "Jersey Boys." I was beyond thrilled to see Charl Brown in the cast, because he was so fantastic as Smokey Robinson in "Motown the Musical." Very personable. The audience was definitely older (most seemed older than 65), partly because the venue was located in southern Florida with lots of retirees, but my son and daughter-in-law, both late 20s, really enjoyed the show. Hits from Temptations, Four Seasons, Beach Boys and more. Highly recommend.
What can I say, it was great from the beginning, it started on time so that's important to me, they integrated with the audience so well, I didn't have any complaints, their songs were great and their voices were out of this world, me and my girlfriend enjoyed every minute of it.
Doo Wop was great. Enjoyed the show very much. I would definitely go again.
Loved it. What a talented group of gentlemen. Each with a distinct personality and talent for singing and dancing. We were unprepared for the excitement and energy of their performance. Hope to see them again. Would like to hear "Gloria" in its entirety.
Wonderful show!! Everyone in our group loved the show!!
