    Never Disappoints

by RickC on 4/29/24Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

It was really cool to see both SMB and Dixie Dregs at the same time. Steve Morse, Andy West and Jordan Rudess were amazing. Their final song will really impress. 2 bass players, 2 drummers. Don't cheat yourself... go see these guys.

    Phenomenal performance

by Keith's Musical Theatre Journey on 4/28/24The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

Dixie Dregs were at their best . They didn't fill the night with some of the easier compositions to play. Every song pushed to the limits of perfection.

    Fantastic with some nice surprises!

by Jon Solo on 4/26/24The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

Steve Morse continues to be as fantastic as ever! My heart was heavy knowing that he had lost his beloved wife just a few short months ago. But his positive spirit and energy and pure talent gave us something to remember. I had not seen Dave LaRue since his first year with Morse. They were visiting our (and Steve's) home town of Augusta, Georgia in late 1988 if memory serves (Steve also visited my, um, our high school in 1983/4 and I got to jam a moment with him). They were playing at a club called The Post Office. Dave was incredible and over the top. I cannot express (even as a musician myself) what he brings to the table melodically. To get to see him in 2024 was spectacular. When the Dregs hit the stage I didn't know that would include Jordan Rudess. That was a great surprise and of course it completely added to the evening! Going through all the great moments of my teen years musically is something I won't soon forget! Don't miss these guys! It was great, spectacular, uh, to borrow a phrase!

    Well oiled machine

by NYER in Dixie on 4/26/24The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

I’ve watched the Dregs since 1977. They always put out an amazing show. The talent and timing of this Band is second to none in rock-jazz fusion. A must see.

    Progressive/Country Rock At Its Best!!!!

by Rockingdistortion on 5/17/18The Wilbur - Boston

Such a dynamic show from the 1975 to 1977 line-up. All the members of this line-up did an excellent job! I really like the guitar/violin dual between Steve Morse and Allen Sloan, M.D.!!!!

Dixie Dregs Deliver Ragtime Hoedown Goes Electric

by Yoda74 on 5/1/18House of Blues Dallas - Dallas

This show was geared to the guitar devotees in the crowd, and the 5 original members were spot on with their instruments. This was the first show I ever saw with only a single microphone on the stage, which was used to introduce songs by the band. Steve Morse continues to amaze on the guitar, and the bass licks and electric fiddle were outstanding. Many of the songs were ones I'd not heard, but they were kicking anyhow. A great special encore with Dallas' own Andy Timmons joining the group on stage for a blistering rendition of Crossroad. You can hear the country and bluegrass influences in much of their offerings, and the Bash which closed the set before the 2 encores rung with the tune of Wabash Cannonball although I've never heard that song with the blazing guitar, bass and fiddle that were up front Wednesday night. Of course, Bloodsucking Leeches closed the set.

    The Dregs Rock!

by ArthurB on 5/1/18Center Stage Theater - Atlanta

What an awesome treat seeing them perform live! They really are a bunch of old friends who love playing together. It is refreshing to see a lack of ego on stage...it's all about the music!

    Dregs in New Orleans

by growlerhill on 4/30/18House of Blues New Orleans - New Orleans

Very solid show featuring the original lineup of the Dixie Dregs. First set ran for an hour. After a 15 minute break the second set ran for about 70 minutes. My only complaints are: the volume, at times, was louder than I anticipated, and very limited seating if one hadn't purchased VIP seats. All of the musicians were in fine form and they seemed to be happy to be performing in front of a nice-sized audience (800 - 1000). Shortly after the show several of the band members signed items for fans, as well as posed for pictures.

    Wow

by LAGuy62 on 4/24/18The Canyon Agoura Hills - Agoura Hills

If I could give 6 stars I would. I have missed this band for many years. And it as great to see the original band, but the one Steve will for many years was as good if not better. Such a unique genre , true fusion. After winning best overall guitarist by Guitarist Magazine, it is not hard to see why is considered one of the vert best. These guys are so tight. Great show I hope they are back.

    Overdelivered

by Messermusic on 4/15/18Hoyt Sherman Place - Des Moines

I have followed The Dregs, Steve Morse Band, Flying Colors, since the early eighties. To see the (more or less) original Dregs lineup live was a bucket list item now fulfilled. They not only did not disappoint the exceeded my expectations. Age, years, life has only improved these musicians. Yes there was the expected virtuosity but there was that intangible element of beauty that only a group of this caliber and experience can deliver. This is a must-see. These guys won’t live forever.
