"Samantha Fish" was the climatic beginning of a means to the end of brilliance that was, "The Devon Allman Project!"
Samantha Fish Got the Show Started..After the River Kittens šø the kitten were cute but Samantha came out and Rocked the place. She is very very talented. Devon Allman project end the show with a bang!
the river kittens / samantha fish / devon allman project were the best show i ve seen in years . the level of talent was amazing . they all interacted with the audience and played a very diverse set all of them . my wife and i really enjoyed the show
What a great show! Three bands... three hours.. Samantha Fish was in top form!
I had never seen the band before and was really impressed .super talented group and Devon has a sense of humor with the āguyā In the room. Thereās alway one ā¦ Great music great fun and my family and I loved the show
My buddy and I decided to grab seats for the DA show that was featuring Samantha Fish as well. We had seen Devon and Betts in Philly when they opened for Warren Haynes and Gov't Mule so we were excited to see The Devon Allman Project. We had never been to SRA, so that was new to us as well. Just WOW! is all I can say. Before Samantha kicked off her set, the River Kittens brought about 30 minutes of great harmonies and mandolin playing on stage. Awesome start. Then came Samantha and she walked out to "Kick Out The Jams" by the MC5! Right there, I knew it was going to be an awesome set. She did not disappoint! She ran through tunes off "Faster" and brought in the River Kittens for some tunes. But, her slide work and onstage badassness was incredible. As for Devon and the DAP, I didn't think he'd top what Sam just did. But, he did. Devon kicked it right off with a strong set of blues and continued on with his own work and that of his dad and the ABB. Amazing! Devon opened the stage to bring in Jimmy Hall of Wet Willie to add in some great harmonica work and Larry McCray - Chicaco Blues artist that made his "Flying V" sing. Spectacular! The encore's were so cool. Devon brought all the acts to perform Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams" with Fish on vocals, Kittens on harmony (and a stinging mandolin solo!) while Devon played back up along with Hall and McCray. The signature moment came when Devon and the gang performed "Midnight Rider" and when finished, pointed to the heavens in honor of his father. What a tribute! As for the venue, I am amazed at the size and the make up of the building. Spending 12 years in a Catholic school, I felt like I WAS back in school! Marble and ceramic everywhere which is cool and gives SRA and good vibe. Seats are old style and kind of tight, but not uncomfortable in a sense. Concessions are very minimal but very economical priced. The staff is very respectful and willing to help in any manner. Free parking is HUGE! The only thing to suggest: find a way to add more bathrooms. Great Night, Great Times, Great Music!
This was a good show the opening acts the River Kittens and Samantha Fish were very good Devon Allman and friends were ok the show was not his best but it was still good. This band is not as good as the band that was originally scheduled. Without Duane Betts and Berry Oakley they are not as good but thats to be expected still a fun show.
I purchased 6 tickets in December to see a return concert date of the ABB Allman Betts Band and instead they changed the entire line up and added not one but two dreadful opening acts that lingered on till 10pm 2 freaking hours then we're only treated to three original covers of my favorite Allman Brothers Band by Greg's son Devonšøhis guitar playing is what I paid for along with Duane Betts and the rest of the Band. rate this concert an F
Both bands were great. The gyitar playi g was amazing.
The guests all coming out and playing together was fun, very much a feel good show and the crowd loved it, great night.
This theater is a diamond! Great show with many talented musicians. Got my Allman Bros fix! Samantha Fish was awesome, great combination!
The Cabot Theater is great. The show was awesome. Many talented musicians. A must see.
My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by last Saturday's show!! Devon Allman was fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This is the second time we saw Samantha Fish - and she didn't dissappoint. What a show!! They played extra time, and brought the house down. I'm so glad we picked this show for my birthday. It was a treat!
Samantha Fish rocked the house!! She definitely stole the show. It was my first time at the Cabot Theater and it did not disappoint it is a very intimate venue to see good music.
What a great show they put on! The guitar playing was excellent ! The vocals great! Music was top notch Just a perfect performance with very very talented musicians
I had great seats. The show was great. The Stanley is a great venue with great acoustics. Samantha Fox stole the show for me. Im still listening to her on Spotify.
The Devon Allman Project is a lot of fun. The band seems to be having fun and was determined the the audience would enjoy the show. The warm up bands River Kittens and Samantha Fish were excellent too, both for their own sets and when they joined Devon's band for a few numbers. If you're not familiar with Devon check him out, you won't regret it.
I was there to really see Samantha Fish. I have never heard of Devon Allman before. I thought the show was great. I think SEATS!!!! are a bad idea for that his and Sam's type of music. I wanted to get up and dance but people wanted others to sit down lol. I get it, it was an older crowd (and I'm 50). People there were older than me and needed seats :D But I think the 'pit' area should have been seat free. That way people could move down there to dance!
Goes through the motions. Only thing special about him is Last name. Decent musician and band but thereās no Heart, energy. Itās the most uninspired music and show Iāve seen. Saw with Samantha Fish and she was light years ahead of him. The wrong band opened.
this was the best show I've seen in the last 3 years and thats over 50 shows...what a good time and Devon makes sure that everyone has time in the spotlight.....Samantha just floored it that night and having Eric & La Donna Gales and The Rivers Kitten all on stage jamming their asses off at the end was priceless truly.
