I've been a fan of The Dear Hunter for years and this was the first show I've seen of theirs. Absolutely awesome, the band put on an unforgettable show. Their openers were amazing too. I can't wait to go to another show of theirs.
The layout at Royale was perfect for this intimate show. The Dear Hunter typically plays the lesser known and more indie venues, but I loved seeing them in a large space (and they filled it)!
I knew this was going to be an amazing concert, but I was blown away more than I imagined! Brian marquis was a pleasant surprise and Northern Faces rocked it! Totally in love with them now! The Dear Hunter was just so amazing, I definitely left there a different person. This concert meant so much to me and I was just so privileged to see them live, let along be in the same building. I look forward to seeing them again very soon!!!

This was a fantastic night. Dearhunter is amazing and so unbelievably talented. I really enjoyed the venue and love the mezzanine and balconies. Perfect viewing and intimate.

I love it! My favorite album being played through live :D The genre and volume level of the opening bands were unexpected and a little too much for the unique Dear Hunter genre I went in for though. I loved the melodic, story-through-song journey that they take me on. It was beautiful! And epic.
They rock so hard. I'll always try to see them live if they come back to the Sinclair.

I paid for the standing section behind the seated section and I was very happy. The Dear Hunter, Naive Thieves and Matt Embree were all amazing and I I could see all of them fairly well even though I am only 5'0. I like the venue although it wasn't as personal as the glass house, even though it was a lot nicer. I still had an amazing time, though!
This band is way ahead of their time. They're too good for mainstream music, which is why you might not have heard of them. I could not tell you what genre they are, because of their vast variety in song styles. From the very beginning to the very end, there was never a dull or boring moment in the two hours they were on stage. If the band wasn't enough entertainment, they also had a string quartet playing with their set. Knowing their music already, I knew that was a great addition, and I wasn't disappointed! Long live The Dear Hunter and I can't wait to go to their next show. Usually I only go to one show a band because I like so many, but this event has bumped this band to my top spot and they're a must-see more than once! The thing that really surprised me was the age range of people who attended the show. It was literally all ages! All types of people can enjoy this bands music and performance because they're that good! And they couldn't have been more thankful and greatful for the oppurtunity to perform for us. Amazing job guys!!
One of the greatest live bands you will ever see. Casey is the epitome or perfect with masterful musicianship and incredibly powerful vocals. Rob, Connor, Maxwell and the two Nicks are just as amazing musicians. Not to be missed.
I have seen TDH 4 times. Each time has had it's own unique appeal (intimacy, setlist, energy, etc...) but this last performance at The Fox Theatre had it all. I was simply blown away as they continue to get better live each time. With the addition of the four string quartet they have been able to really pull off the sound of the albums in concert! It was a fantastic mixture of new and old tunes! It was apparent it was a special night for the band having been the last stop on their tour. Honored to have been a part of it!
The Dear Hunter is one of my all time favorite bands and I am so happy I got to see them play. The seats were great, and the show was amazing.
I can't believe how long The Dear Hunter's set was! Tons of fun and they really made it worth the already cheap tickets. Would definitely return to another Dear Hunter concert and also to the Sinclair (even though the draft beers were $6 when a more reasonable price would have been $4.50). The opening band, Naive Thieves, was great too!
They couldn't have been better. Played a good range of old and new, played for a long time which was awesome. The venue was very nice, good acoustics, reasonable beer price (for a concert) good atmosphere. Dear Hunter is amazing live, and if you have any interest in the band, I highly recommend it.
We had the incredible pleasure of seeing both shows and would have seen a third if offered. The music was intense and non stop. One memorable song after another starting with Act 1 and taking through to their newest, Migrant. Have seen Casey 6 times now and each is an extraordinary experience.

Absolutely amazing live! Their sound is unbelievable. A very talented group of muscians and songwriters. I seen them for the first time last month, they were an opening act for another one of my fav bands Dredg... so excited to hear they were going to be headlining in Grand Rapids next. The show is about 3 hrs from my home but I am more than willing to drive the distance to see them again. Hope they come back to MI again and again. Be sure to check out their new cd Color Spectrum!
