The Dead South have never been about constant reinvention, but about full commitment to their own singular way. With confidence in their sound and style and trust in each other, The Dead South arrive at the cusp of explosive global success in an enviable, and well-earned, position: total autonomy. It doesn't really matter what you call their music - progressive bluegrass, alternative Americana, country, folk and western, what matters is that this is theirs, and people from all different backgrounds, beliefs, experiences, languages and ages love it.
True blue right through, The Dead South don't shy away from ruffling traditionalists' feathers from time to time, as they flawlessly execute banjo rolls and lightning-fast mandolin tremolos, 3-part harmonies and songs of classic themes -murder ballads, disloyalty, ghosts and the like, all with a wink and a smile. As they continue their climb to the top, The Dead South have learned an important lesson: If you're going to be outsiders, you'd better be great.
Confirmed by the passion of their Dead South cosplaying fans, who go to concerts in the band's signature look, this four-piece acoustic set from the middle of the Canadian prairies have found their people. Good Company, as they call themselves, is a global community of vastly dissimilar folks who might not see eye to eye, but who stand shoulder to shoulder at the gigs.

Fun and full of energy! Happy birthday! The HOB was able to give them a crowd an give space upstairs.
Great live show and great musicians. I’m normally a hard rock/metal fan but good music is good music and these guys are good. Hard bluegrass with lots of catchy tunes. You’ll start the show off wondering what you are watching and leave a fan for life. One of those bands you can actually listen to the entire albums.
Amazing Night - great line up and the main act - The Dead South was worth the wait!! Thank you!!
It was very good. The Dead South are amazing. They share so much with their public.
The performers were amazing but please hire someone who knows how to amplify acoustic instruments! Singer songwriter Danny Oliver was cranked to 11 and the lower end was distorting. The headliner’s sound was brutal with over the top compression that did no justice to their acoustic instruments. It seemed like the sound people thought this was a metal show. The light show was also bizarre and just over the top in spots.
Loved the concert, didn’t live all the people standing up in front of us. All 3 performers were amazing! ♥️
Fabulous evening, great to see some new opening bands, was really impressed and loved being on the floor
We did the VIP with the band, they were awesome, my partner has PTSD and everybody went out of their way to make her feel okay, especially a big thank you to Colton. Enjoyed the soundcheck and the show, I love to see a band enjoying themselves on stage, and the Dead South certainly do that,
Their stage presence is undeniable. Everyone should see their show at some point!
The Dead South were amazing!! They kept you engaged, and wanting more!! I cant wait to see them in concert again!!
I absolutely LOVED the show that The Dead South put on at the Kalamazoo State Theatre. It was our first time seeing them and we could not pass on the opportunity of them playing in our home town. Hands down one of the best shows I've ever been to!
I always enjoy the State Theater. I was hoping that the seating would have been all the way to the stage, and rather than stare at the backside of the standing group, I chose to sit first row of the balcony. The Hootin Hollers were great live. The Cranewives were great as usual. But, The Dead South made my New Year's Eve.
The opening act was totally awesome. Dead South was great too. My only criticism of them was it was too loud. They are good they don't need to be turned up so high. that;s how bad acts compensate for there lack of talent. They don't need to do that.
Best show ever. They are so good live. Phenomenal instrumentalists. Seen them 8 times, and it's still as good as the first time.
The Dead South is just an awesome experience. The band have their own unique sound and style. I have seen them twice now and they do not disappoint.
Wow, what a freakin GREAT show !!! So happy I got this ticket to say the very least. Again, I had a spare ticket but not find anyone that would have liked to go. Lol, well that was their mistake. The place was packed and the vibe was off the hook . These boys from Regina put on one of the best shows I’ve seen this far.
