Excellent play in a very intimate environment vere close to the actors.

    Fills The Heart With Joy!

by MoveOn8 on 12/19/15Apollo Theater - New York

This gospel musical play is a gem. It has so much heart and it's brimming over with a fantastically talented ensemble too. The story about how each member of a Harlem family deal with each other during the loss of a loved one as remembered by the now grown daughter at Christmastime. The spirit of the holidays is bursting out through the music and the supporting ensemble moved my heart with the joy they bring during the musical numbers. The story and music are wonderfully moving. It is difficult to sit still during some of the musical numbers. Good thing showing your love is encouraged! I think that this particular work is better served in a more conventional theater space. But the play is a fantastic holiday treat for the family and won't break the bank.

This is an amazing play, what a message for the holidays! I didn't know what to expect, boy was I surprised and pleased. I would recommend everyone to see this play. Intimate seating, no seat is a bad seat. Wonderfully done, great actors!!

    A complete surprise!

The play was nothing like the title suggested. However, it was superbly acted, and the story line was heart warming and real. The singing was sensational! I loved it!!!
