The Chicks are one of country music’s most influential and boundary-pushing groups. Formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1989 by sisters Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, The Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) rocketed to pop stardom with the addition of lead vocalist Natalie Maines in 1995. The multi-platinum trio would go on to win 12 Grammy Awards and become the best-selling female band of all time in the U.S., with 33 million albums sold worldwide. By blending honky-tonk with bluegrass and soaring pop vocals, The Chicks appealed to a diverse audience that stretched far beyond their country roots. Signature hits like 1999’s “Cowboy Take Me Away” and 1998’s “Wide Open Spaces,” along with their bluegrass virtuosity, saw The Chicks go from opening for Tim McGraw in 1999 to headlining massive concert tours that have sold over $100 million in tickets. 2020’s Gaslighter (produced by Jack Antonoff) was The Chicks’ first album in 14 years, and the catalyst for a 2023 tour where country-pop superstar Maren Morris will join the trio on a string of dates.

I loved every minute of the performances! Even the drunk girl behind me throwing up everywhere, and the poor staff having to clean it up, did not change my review. The show was amazing and made me forget everything else!
I’ve been attending live performances for many years and have seen world renown bands. The Chicks are one of the best there is. This was the second time seeing The Chicks and they continue to shine as exceptional musicians, performers, and songwriters. It was a ‘longtime gone’ since their last concert here in Saskatoon, and with COVID touring their Gaslighter album was delayed, but it was well worth the wait. They left us all wanting more. What is incredible is how professional they are. Although they did not say a word about it on stage, they found out that day that a close family connection and the father of one of the Chicks three children, died that day. Although, I could detect some emotions in them during Travelin’ Soldier, they gave their all to us in Saskatoon, while holding that recent news. They are the best! You would be fortunate to see and hear them anytime and anywhere.
One of the best concerts I’ve been too and I’ve seen a lot of great artists. It was my 6 year old daughters first concert and we both just sang the night away! Would 100% go again
I’ve heard the Chicks music for years but this was my first concert experience with them. Absolutely loved it and was very impressed with their stage presence and the show they put on. They have my respect for still having the courage to speak out about the injustices in the world right now. And having Maren Morris as their opening act? What an incredible bonus that was as she is so talented and a headliner in her own right. Great job to all!!
I’m a loyal longtime fan of Maren and I wish her set was a bittttt longer. And the chicks were just incredible!! Have seen them many times before but it was just as good as always. They are so talented and it was so fun!
The ladies are a bit older than they were the last time I saw them but the still sound great. Many instrument changes demonstrate their amazing musical talents. Also great was their six piece band that included a drummer from my home city. Loved it!!
I grew up listening to the chicks with my mom and grandma so going to the concert felt like a milestone
I grew up listening to the Dixie Chicks and was super excited to see them in concert!! Definitely a night to remember! Amazing performance!
The chicks sounded incredible and it was an amazing show but pleaaaaaaase remove some of the ballads from the new album and give us some more of the classics. Love gaslighter and sleep at night though. In fact the live versions of all of the new album sound better and heavier than the album. All in all great time but wished there had been more songs everyone knew because the place went wild!
For a band with as many hit as the Chicks have to play only a hand full of them is inexcusable. Out of the 22 songs they played only 8 were hits. During many of the songs they played, people in our section were talking thru because no one knew what they were singing. Then when they finally played a song the crowd knew the place went crazy. That should have been a sign to the band, but nope. And this was the only big name concert I’ve been to that the headliner never played an encore. Our whole group was very disappointed.
I have seen the Dixie chicks a lot. They were not into it at all and did not play an encore. Disappointed
Disappointed in The Chicks. I would give them a 5/10. They played too many new songs for their Canadian audience in Edmonton, AB. When they played their old stuff the crowd went wild. When they played their new stuff there was a shift. People all around us left early. We held it out hoping for an encore and more of their older music. No encore. Disappointed. Especially at the price we paid for tickets.
Poor execution and the sound guy should be fired. There was little too remember if anything. 4 drinks and a popcorn 100 dollars. This has got to stop
They sounded amazing and their stage and graphics were brilliant!
Great night and great people I got to share The Chicks with. They still sound great and we can't wait to see them again..
It was a great concert , I wish they played a few more songs ! 😊😊
Everything about this concert was great! Would definitely go again
The Chicks were great, the crowd however was constantly on the move from the floor and lower bowl up and down the stairs throughout the show. People moving through the rows and stairs and constant noise, not show related, was incredibly disturbing and prevented us from really enjoying the show as we have done many shows before.
Amazing concert!!!! So much fun, great energy. Can’t wait to see them again in concert.
