Concert content was great. Back up band was too loud, Steven Curtis Chapman could have sang without the band and been great. The backup music was drowning his songs.

by Mickey132 on 10/30/10Adler Theatre - DavenportI felt that it was more of a meet my son's band and buy my wife's book show. I love his music and would've liked to have heard Steven sing more of his most popular songs, the ones that I know.

Rating: 5 out of 5 SCC and Family~Always the Best!
by KHar on 10/26/10Adler Theatre - DavenportHaving been to numerous SCC concerts, this intimate night has been the favorite yet! Living through a horrible tragedy and coming out stronger and using their story as a testimony to so many is so inspiring. Satan came to steal, kill and destroy on that May 2008 day, however, he was crushed through God's message of Hope. Steven Curtis Chapman and family are a wonderful example of living out God's Truth and Hope!

Rating: 5 out of 5 Night with the Chapmans was a night to remember!
by Pantherfan91 on 10/26/10Adler Theatre - DavenportThe evening began with Steven Curtis Chapman coming out on stage to introduce the opening act which was Caleb. Caleb is a band comprised of two of Steven's sons, Caleb and Will, and two of their friends. They performed four songs and Steven joined his sons for one of the numbers. Steven Curtis Chapman's concert was one to remember. He sang many of his most well-known songs, and he also sang shortened versions of requests that he had taken via his website prior to the concert. A pleasant surprise was when Steven introduced his good friend Geoff Moore, of Geoff Moore and the Distance fame, to the stage to sing a couple of songs with Steven. Geoff also spoke of Steven and Mary Beth Chapman's adoption program Show Hope and encouraged the audience to get involved in supporting this worthy cause. Mary Beth Chapman took the stage near the end of the concert to talk about her life with Steven and the tragedy of the loss of their daughter Maria due to an accident at home. The concert was 3 1/2 hours in length which I did not expect, and the time went very quickly. We had seats in the fourth row and the concert felt like the intimate musical experience as was intended. Steven is a fine musician and his band was just as talented. We were especially impressed with the drumming of Steven's son Will. We have seen Steven Curtis Chapman in concert three times, and look forward to seeing him again in the future.
Rating: 5 out of 5 An Unforgettable Night with the Chapmans!
by AbbyMichelle on 10/26/10Adler Theatre - DavenportI surprised my boyfriend by driving an hour and a half to take him to the Night with the Chapmans. Steven Curtis Chapman was his favorite artist years ago, and he really enjoyed listening to all the songs, old and new. I really enjoyed the family atmosphere that they brought to the theater, and would go to see him again.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Chapman family gives strength for the journey!
by angelmomma on 10/26/10Adler Theatre - DavenportThe Chapman family not only are a talented group, but their faith is a testimony to God's goodness. They've been tested through tragedy and come through with a heartfelt message: God is good. Even though our hearts may break in this life, God uses all things for the good of those who love Him. Steven Curtis' voice and music is amazing, his wife Mary Beth is a treasure and their sons Caleb and Will are following suit with a band of their own with great music with a message for the younger crowd.
