country bear jamboree
by lifeonthe5 on 12/1/10The Music Box - Hollywoodso ive seen them twice before. both times i wasn't sure if they were actually playing their instruments. this time i saw them, i was sure that 80% of their performance was pre-recorded, and that there was virtually no "live vibe" to the show. so i walked up to the merch table to talk to the front man's brother, and i told him it was pre-recorded and he just smirked. . . i told him it was milli vanilli. . . and he told me it was more like karaoke. . . which pretty much confirmed that much of the performance was a fraud. . . most of the audience didn't care, because they were too busy watching the innovative video performance that was synced to their "playing" - and to be fair, it would be impossible to recreate their albums, considering how detailed they are, let alone to sync it up with the video performance. . . but honestly, i would rather settle for less "dazzle" if they would just stop with their compulsion to always come across as perfect. . . . . in short, it was like watching an indie version of the country bear jamboree. . . . .
