Aristocrats was awesome and I lost 15 LBS!

by Monkeyfinger on 7/27/13Masquerade - Atlanta

A band that knows their instruments and seems to enjoy what they are doing? What more could I ask for?!? Well the icing on the cake is that their brand of instrumental/progressive/blues/rock is that it is jawdroppingly technical and complex. The band delivered! They were on and the were tight. They were paired with an interesting opening act called The Yeti Trio. This was a good complement for the Aristocrats in style. There is a similar instrumental exploring of music, yet different enough from the Aristocrats to feel I'm not watching a competition. Yetis did there own take on mathy-prog with some improvisation that at some points seemed dangerous. The group seemed to be centered around a very solid drummer. The only detraction was the heat. I sweated... a lot... Not just the normal sweaty-at-a-show amount, but A LOT!

    The Musicianship was Incredible!!

by teldario on 10/2/11Berklee Performance Center - Boston

These three musicians are all powerhouses and they didn't disappoint. The show was very bare and casual, just three guys playing their instruments. The highlight of the show was Marco's drum solo, which alone was worth the price of the ticket. I took my girlfriend, who isn't a big fan of this music, and even she loved watching Marco play. The only low point was when they brought out Nili Brosh. She's a great player, but she wasn't on the same level of the other guys and it kind of killed the momentum of the show.
