About

THE AMITY AFFLICTION IN CONCERT:

The Amity Affliction is a hardcore punk collective thatā€™s taking their native Australia by storm with fast-paced music and intense live shows. Whether theyā€™re tearing through the growl-filled track ā€œPittsburghā€ or getting fans to mosh and sing along, the band delivers one energy-fueled performance after another for crowd-surfing fans.
Ā
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The Amity Affliction was formed by high school friends Ahren Stringer and Troy Brady in 2003. After playing concerts on campus, they started to take their music more seriously and added two more members ā€“ classmates Garth Buchanan and Lachlan Faulkner ā€“ to the lineup. The group embarked on a tour to support their 2005 debut EP and began to introduce their music to legions of fans around Australia. They spent the next few years honing their craft and in 2008 they released their full-length debut Severed Ties, which peaked at No. 6 on the Australian Artists Albums chart and launched major tours with the Getaway Plan and Elora Danan. Since then the Amity Affliction has released three more popular albums ā€“ including the chart-topping albums Chasing Ghosts (2012) and Let the Ocean Take Me (2014) ā€“ played major festivals like Warped Tour, and headlined several dates of their own, at venues like The Fillmore (Philadelphia). On tour the Amity Affliction continues to deliver gripping, revved-up live performances that no fan of punk will want to miss.

This was a phenomenal line up everyone really brought 110% to the stage. The venue was very small for the amount of tickets sold. After the first band and everyone got through security it was wall to wall with people making it difficult to move though the venue. You either had to walk though the active pit or become one with the wall & inch your way around people to get across the room. Security was great & very involved. I personally found myself close to the end on the patio watching the show projected on the wall for safety and comfort. Great bands & great memories.

    Awesome Show!

by Dee on 4/18/22The Masquerade - Hell - Atlanta

We had a great time at this show, the crowd was amazing and they put on a great show. The staff was very kind and organized. I think this band deserves a bigger venue, I definitely think they could have sold out in Purgatory at The Masquerade. Definitely coming back next year!

    Absolutely phenomenal!

by Brad on 4/16/22The Masquerade - Hell - Atlanta

By far the best experience I had ever had. Maybe I am a little biased as the amity affliction is my favorite band period. But nevertheless the venue the opener seafloor cinema was top notch! Archetype Collides was beyond amazing! TAA was beyond what I could of ever expected. I have been to several concerts and this has top them all. The energy that all the bands put into this was second to none. I was so blown away. I will see any of these people every chance I can get to go. I will never miss a TAA concert as long as I can get to it and I canā€™t wait for hopefully and Archetype Collides headliner show.

    Energy All Night Long

by Jess B. on 2/1/19Delmar Hall - Saint Louis

Belmont, Silent Planet, Senses Fail and the Amity Affliction put on one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. Each performance had levels of energy that kept me amped all night! I had never listened to Belmont or Silent Planet, but you bet I'm gonna see them again. Senses Fail and Amity certainly delivered, and I can't wait to see them again either. Do NOT pass up the opportunity to see these great bands kick ass!
