So loud I couldn't hear it.

by Colonel Mustard on 9/15/22Bogart's - Cincinnati

The energy and atmosphere was fantastic, but the sound was so bad that it ruined my experience. I had very high hopes and was anticipating a fantastic show. Unfortunately the sound was so loud (not sure if this was Afghan Whigs preference or the sound engineer) that it was massively distorted and even with ear plugs and holding my hands over my ears everything sounded like white noise. Overall I was extremely disappointed in the concert itself. I know that sound can be good at Bogarts because I just saw another show there and the sound was great.

    Whigging Out Awesome

by Marshallman on 5/23/22Delmar Hall - Saint Louis

Awesome show as expected… A truly “World Class” act!!! Why they aren’t a household name I’ll never know as they are the true grit of Rock-N-Roll.

    Very little old songs

by Concert Lover on 5/23/22Delmar Hall - Saint Louis

I was very excited ro finally get to see one of my favoeite bands from college. The venue was great as usual as was the crowd. But the set list was a disappointment. They played lots of aongs off of an album thats coming out later this year and other more recent stuff. But they barwly played anything from their early days (the 90s). They disnt play a single song off of Congregation which is my favorite of their albums. You have ro mix things up as an artist and play old as well as new.

The Afghan Whigs at Delmar Hall

by Roger on 5/23/22Delmar Hall - Saint Louis

Fantastic show. As always, The Afghan Whigs were killer. Looking forward to their new record - the new songs sounded fantastic alongside classics like Gentleman and John The Baptist. Delmar Hall is a great venue. Hoping to catch another Afghan Whigs show in later Summer.

It was great to see the Whigs back in action. They rocked. Played a mix of songs from throughout their career. Really good show.

    AW always exceptional

by Rochelle on 5/16/22Orpheum - Tampa

What a great experience! I managed to get VIP tickets and enjoyed a 4 song private concert & Q&A with Greg Dulli. He is such a down to earth guy and is enthusiastic talking with fans making them feel special, answering their questions. Some had great questions. The show was excellent.! Everyone was on point with playing and Greg's vocals were the best. The song line up went through all the bands Greg has been with, covering AW, TS and GT. Played new songs and favorites. My favorite band never disappoints!

    Amazing Tour Kick-off!

by HMFerre on 5/15/22Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

I never thought I'd get a chance to witness Greg Duli, live with the Afghan Whigs, so my expectations were very high. The band exceeded what I thought I would see, a killer set, exploding with the new single, "I'll Make You See God". It felt extra special as it was Duli's birthday and the crowd sang him 'Happy Birthday', it was a sweet moment, showing how much everyone there loves the music of this band. Other standouts for me were 'John the Baptist', 'Something Hot', 'Algiers' and so many more. Do yourself a favor, if you can catch this tour, do it!

Odd that Afghan Whigs were listed first yet didn't play last. Built to Spill were interesting I guess. OK show

    Afghan Whigs Forever!

by Sashannyc on 5/9/18House of Blues Cleveland - Cleveland

The HOB show was the second show I saw on this tour as I also traveled to Pittsburgh. I've been following the Whigs since the early '90s and Greg Dulli's other projects and they never disappoint. Some of the best songwriting and live shows I've ever seen. Highly recommend seeing them.

    eh

by Frani57 on 11/2/14The Fillmore - San Francisco

I have been a fan of Joseph Arthur for many years, needless to say I was excited to see him live for the 1st time. Didn't expect the "one man band" routine, where music is streaming out while he fiddles about stage. His humour was apparant & appreciated but musically I don't want to hear pre-recorded music @ a live event. The Afghan Whigs were just lound not very musical & I hated the light beaming out from the stage felt like I was being interrogated. Some worthy tunes but overall not enough

    Afhgan Whigs are amazing

by mrschteve on 10/26/14The Fillmore - San Francisco

The guys in Afghan Whigs create music that must be heard live to really appreciate. And appreciate I did. Greg Dulli is the sexiest front man ever....and it has nothing to do with his looks. Swagger, sweat and energy. This was a great show....so glad they're back. The new songs fit seamlessly with old and these guys know how to do covers. They rocked the Fillmore stage and should be so proud. The free poster afterwords was great too.

    Afghans flipped my Whig!!

by Dipat on 10/9/14Music Hall of Williamsburg - Brooklyn

This was a great show in a great space. Extra added bonus was the dancing roadie in the corner! Every time I've seen Greg Dulli he is fantastic. The whole group are top notch great musicians. Can't wait to see them again.

    A band at their peak.

by UKwhig on 10/8/14Music Hall of Williamsburg - Brooklyn

I flew over from the Uk for the Philly show, & both NY shows. I'd only arrived the night before the Philly show, so it was a tiring trip. I was exhausted by the time this show came around, but the band lifted my spirits as soon as they hit the stage. This was a relentless performance by a band who are playing better than they ever have. The arrival of Usher just capped it off brilliantly, & turned it into an 'I was there' night! Usher looked genuinely humbled by it all, which says a lot about him, but says even more about the Whigs. A memorable night. I flew home the next day a very happy man

    fantastic

by acidburnx on 10/6/14Royale Boston - Boston

I took my husband to this show as an anniversary gift, knowing this was one of his favorite bands from earlier days. The opening act was ok, ended up singing a song we know from our favorite show scrubs. When the Afghan whigs came out it was amazing, sound blowing us back and the intensity unrivaled. My husband was more than pleased with the show overall and I got a wonderful introduction to this band.

    Transcending AW performance

by azwill on 9/27/14Civic Theatre - New Orleans

Fantastic show in venue of perfect size and layout. Local NOLA opener got things off to good start. Always great Joseph Arthur did his magical combination of auditory and visual art. Headlining AW showed again why they are best touring R&R show going. Perfection!
