    Delightful surprise

by Wardinski on 2/5/12Temple of Music and Art - Tucson

We had a very enjoyable evening having expected the suspense but not the uproarious comedy. We came to the show on recommendation of our daughter who was familiar with several actors and production crew from Minneapolis. They exceeded our high expectations. We have come to trust the AZ Theater for the investment a ticket represents and have always been pleased.

    Hilarious

by BruceBro on 2/4/12Temple of Music and Art - Tucson

Funny and creative. Wouldn't miss it. Even better if you can see the Hitchcock movie first, which you can find on Netflix.

    great staging

by ArizonaMark on 2/3/12Temple of Music and Art - Tucson

the staging almost upstaged the dialogue - an entertaining spoof that was shades of the old Gaslight Theatre productions

    Clever and Entertaining

by Slukey on 1/31/12Temple of Music and Art - Tucson

39 Steps was a well acted and clever production. It helped to have seen the movie just prior to seeing the play to better appreciate the spoofs. I recommend it.

Very creative staging! True to Hitchcock's movie

by NotATicketmasterFanAnymor on 1/30/12Temple of Music and Art - Tucson

Very interesting and creative use of props. High-energy performance. Easy to follow and as true to Hitchcock's movie as a play could get. Loved the montage about "The Birds" and "North by Northwest" and the Hitchcock profile. AWESOME! BTW--also glad that Ticketmaster now allowed us to select our seats from seats available. Front row balcony at the Temple of Music and Art was a GREAT place to sit! It was a bit tight on leg room, but the view was excellent.

    Interesting Comedy....

by Rush215 on 1/30/12Temple of Music and Art - Tucson

It's not like your traditional Alfred Hitchcock show, this one does have a little comedy and the actors did a great job of improv. Not until the end did I realize it was only a troop of 4 performing all characters. Gotta love the Prop usage and thinking out of the box.

    39 Steps WELL D0NE!!

by pj4ua1 on 1/27/12Temple of Music and Art - Tucson

Wonderful, fun play with superb acting that matches anything on Boardway that we have seen. Many additions to scenes (from Broadway) that added such delight to the entire production! Once again, AZ Theater Company nailed it!

    Extremely entertaining!

by SunnyinAZ on 1/23/12Temple of Music and Art - Tucson

Four actors playing over 100 roles - we weren't sure what to expect, but they did a phenomenal job. What a talented cast - both on stage and behind the scenes. My husband and I really enjoyed the performance and would definitely recommend it to anyone (all-ages appropriate).

    A Must-See

by GrammyCalhoun on 1/19/12Temple of Music and Art - Tucson

Hysterical, very well acted, timing and humor were perfect. Amazing that 4 actors can play all these different parts with such ease in transition. I couldn't have imagined how they would pull this off. You don't have to be familiar with Alfred Hitchcock to enjoy this production but the clever references to some of his movies was very well done.

    39 Steps was very intertaining.

by CaySee on 3/28/11Pella Opera House - Pella

The actors were great. They had so many costume changes and character changes that it was very interesting to see how they accomplished that. The effects that they portrayed when riding in a car, train, or being blown by a breeze was fantastic. They did a magnificant job.

The 39 Steps at Meadow Brook - Hilarious!

The play was amazing. It was far funnier than I expected. The actors' performances were top notch. I only wish it wasn't the final show.

by BB39 on 2/1/11Meadow Brook Theatre - Rochester

Funniest stage play I ever saw. I laughed so hard my stomach still hurt the next day. Actors were talented, energetic, and amazing. Clever spoof of a 1935 original movie.
