The rodeo events were well organized and the action was terrific. There were some events for children and they were well received. We could not "get into" the concert but the teenagers and young adults seemed to really like it.
Fourth time to this rodeo, love Allen Event Center, every seat good. Love seeing new country artists, great for the kids, thanks to Tom Thumb and all th other sponsors.
Rodeo seemed rather short on events - filled in with banter and clowning around. Was a little disappointed in what we saw compared to Texas Stampede of the past.
The rodeo itself was okay. The announcers attempt at humor was terrible; his bantering with the suppossed clown left a lot to be desired. The Texas Stampede overall stinks. Other than the rodeo, and 2 - 3 overpriced rides for little kid's there is nothing else to it. The first year it was in Allen they had a chili-cookoff. I think they should have a santioned BBQ competition or something similar to draw people in. The arena for the rodeo was just over 1/3 full. If I didn't live 2 miles from the event I wouldn't waste my time driving to the event. I want something that I can spend the better part of a day at.

We took a friend visiting from the UK to her first rodeo and she was in awe of it. We enjoyed ourselves too.
