Tennessee Lady Volunteers Women’s Basketball History

The University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers, or “Lady Vols,” hold one of the greatest legacies in women’s college basketball, winning eight NCAA titles and appearing in every Women’s March Madness tournament since its inception in 1982. Naismith Coach of the Century Pat Summitt led the Lady Vols from 1974 to 2012 and won multiple championships in each of her three decades with the team. Summitt never posted a losing season record and retired with a then-record 1,098 career wins.
