Everybody was having sound probelms, the show started late each perfomer rushed their performances.. worst concert i have ever been too
The sound system was bad. We could not enjoy it all. Please fix it to where all can sing and not just one particular group. Very disappointing!
The venue line up was EXCELLENT! Unfortunately (besides the show starting 45 minutes late) The sound technicians were still setting up when the concert should have been starting. El DeBarge kept telling them that he couldn't hear and totally RUINED his show. He apologized and wished the other artist well due his time being up. In essence, ALL of their performances were ruined and cut short due to the sound techs. The artist were visibly upset due to their inability to give the people what they paid for. $205.00 ticket plus parking went to hell in a hand basket! Bobby Brown stated that he had been in St. Louis all day and expressed that they had plenty of time to get this right. He also noted that he was supposed to go on stage at 10:30. He didn't hit the stage until midnight due to the fact that they took way too long between set changes and the never ending problems with the sound. Discombobulation and chaos! Thank goodness for DJ KUT! He kept it from being a total wipeout!
I’ll probably never do another concert at The Chaifetz Arena. They sound was complete bad for 2 of the performance. I felt so sorry for El Debarge, and SWV mic didn’t work for half of their set. Chaifetz should be ashamed of themselves. We paid 300 dollars for these tickets and couldn’t get a full show. They were behind on sets. We didn’t leave until almost 12:30 to long for a concert.. It was a headache 🤦🏽♀️
The sound system was horrible. The concert started late which made the acts have to cut down there stage time.
Unorganized. Show started an hour late. Some artist did not perform well or at all and long intermissions
The concert in general was not well organized. There were major problems with the sound with microphones the entire concert. It was really disappointing that the mics were not working when SWV came onto the stage, therefore a portion of the songs that were sung by the lead singer were not able to be heard. Also, it was very unprofessional that they had to keep walking off the stage to get the mics fixed which cut into the majority of the performance. Then, we were shorted performance times due to the timing that the concert had to be over with, meaning, the last performer got on stage close to midnight and only performed 10 minutes IF THAT. Time management was not of the essence at this concert, and for us who paid our money to see these performers and to feel slighted and shorted is not okay at all.
There was a sound issue with all the performers. The sound system or engineers need work. Also the time it took to switch between performers was way too long. We only really got to here one song from SVW because of the sound issues. This makes me not want to go back to any event at the Chaifetz. I would understand if this was the only time this has happened but sadly this has been something I have experienced before at this venue. Ruined my Valentines Day.
The performers were awesome and very patient with the situation but my heart goes out to all; especially El DeBarge for the way they ruined his time. That was a GREAT injustice to the performers as well as all that paid to attend the concert. Otherwise, again, the performers were great even under the humiliation some of them experienced while attempting to go on with show. It was VERY frustrating for those of us who attended, watching the way everything went during this show. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! 5 stars for the performers for their performances and fighting through the messiness
It was not good. It only had two good performances Doug E. Fresh and the Black street boys other than that it was horrible. Not worth the money I spent the tickets.
Clearly there had been no sound check and I blame that on the venue. I have been to this venue plenty of times and never has the sound been like this! All of the artist did a great job but you couldn't hear most of them until their last 2 songs once they kept complaining about the sound. But outside of that EVERYONE did an AWESOME job and I would go see all of them again! It was a great lineup!
The only good thing about this concert was that each artist did show. The rest is ALL negative! The sound production was the worst I’ve heard and seen. You had crew members trying to correct sound while artist was attempting to perform. Artist microphones that did not work. Artist earpieces that did not work. Artist sound that did work was so loud that it drowned the mics. All of these issues resulted in abbreviated performance by each artist! This was embarrassing for the city of St.Louis!
The sound system was horrible to the point the artists was apologizing
My wife and I traveled to Saint Louis for Madison Wisconsin to attend the show. The dj was very good and be sides for a few acts it was a night full of sounds issues and lip syncing the worst being SWV they were clearly lip syncing. There set started off with two songs back to back that had no vocals on it so they just danced and looked confused and then they proceeded to tell the crowd after some started to boo that other acts are lip syncing and when it’s their turn it’s not working and how it was a sexist production. The group is out of shape and sloppy looking.
It sucked! Last time at the Chaifetz, sound is that bad
The concert was horrible because the technical people didn’t do their job. The singers would try to sing and their microphones would go out, the sound would be to loud or too low.
Wonderful fun night for the both of us. We definitely had good time!!
The sound system was awful which caused the concert to be prolonged. I wasn’t able to hear some of my favorite songs, which defeated the purpose of me going to the concert. I was really excited to see the artists on the lineup, but most of the show weekend unorganized. The artists took almost 30 minutes between each set to get ready. Which made the concert super long. It was on Valentine’s Day and I missed my dinner reservations. I ended up leaving early and missed Bobby Browns whole act. It’s was almost 1am and he still hasn’t come out. I was tired and irritated. Overall disappointment.
I had fun at the concert. However people were in our seats when we arrive. An employee asked them to move. I also didn't think the seats were that great for the price. We purchased mid level priced tickets and couldn't even see the performers face. I'll only purchase floor seats going forward
This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a concert. I should’ve known something when we got there they were still doing sound check. My ticket said the show started at 7:30p & I’m quite positive it was around 8:30p when it started. We left this show at 12:30a & Bobby Brown hadn’t come out yet. I don’t know if each artist is responsible for their sound, which I doubt but that was hideous. El Debarge, Jagged Edge & SWV had sound issues, unless JE was just janky. SWV had to literally curse out whoever was responsible for sound in order for their sound to be corrected but they only had a couple more songs to perform when that was corrected. This was just terrible.
