I was skeptical before going but Ted and Steve took all that away in the first few minutes. They are very comfortable with the audience and the songs were wonderful. It brought back a lot of great memories. Ted voice and looks are an amazing combination when compared to John. I will go to another concert of his and highly recommend it to my friends.
I was disappointed in this show. He resembled John Denver but his show was very amateur to me. I saw a similar show in a high school venue several years back, and it was more enjoyable. Did not appreciate having him do his own music. Not up to the caliber of shows we usually see at this venue.
Ted Vigil is so much like John. And having Steve Weisberg there to tell stories about his time with John was truly amazing. There were at least two instances that I felt chills run up my spine. It was a real trip down memory lane. Ted and Steve are both exceptionally talented musicians. Their tribute to John was moving.
If you are a John Denver fan, this is as close as you're gonna get to bringing hum back from the heavens. Fantastic show!
My husband and I went to see Ted Vigil. The show was great and brought back many memories of John Denver. He teamed up with a guitar player for John Denver and they did a good job of telling stories and playing the music. We really enjoyed the show.
Had a perfect evening at the Birchmere! Ted Vigil looks like he should be John Denver's twin. He plays guitar & sings all of JD's hits wonderfully and with the amazing back-up of Steve Weisburg's guitar, the whole performance was "Far Out"! Ted Vigil also sang some of his own songs -- also wonderful. Would love to see these guys again soon!
The Birchmere was the perfect venue to have a time traveling experience. Steve played and sang with John Denver in the 70's and his pairing with Ted Vigil is a living homage to John's life and music. Ted's own compositions only added to the experience, it felt like I was hearing music John never got to write. This is not an imitator although Ted looks and sounds like John; it is a genuine tribute to the man and his music and could not have been done better. If you get the opportunity see and hear these two wonderful performers don't miss it!
Wow, the guy looks like John Denver, sounds like him and he made my wife cry by bringing back such great memories. We love the Birchmere. Easy to get in and out. Seats are great. Foods good. Drinks score. Easy going atmosphere.
