There were some equipment issues, but they had such great energy, it was barely an issue. It was my birthday, and i am super glad i spent it with Ted Leo!

by Anonymous on 12/7/09Middle East - CambridgeMy 4th time seeing Ted and he rocked as usual. Played a lot fo new tunes. The sound isn't great at the Middle east but its a venue I like because of how close you can get to the stage. Ted was having guitar trouble, he swapped it out like 4 or 5 times.

I'm definitely a fan of smaller, more personal clubs like the Middle East, and when a band like Ted Leo and the Pharmacists comes in it's unforgettable. I only gave the concert a 4/5 because (a) the opening act was so amateur and (b) it took the crowd so long to get pumped up. But Titus Andronicus was riotous, and Ted Leo took it up a few notches from there. They sounded so good, so clean live, but with more edginess. Loved every second of it.
