Great show but was missing some of the older musicians who used to play with Bob. Not very nostalgic, when they would have fit in perfectly; Rolling Thunder dudes and gals, The Alpha Band, Rob Stoner!! etc.
Felt like I was part of an historic event. Impeccably crafted, curated and conveyed—Dylan’s poetic lyrics have never sounded so good. An intimate evening of song that was poignant, provocative and performed by a diverse spectrum of artists who breathed life into songs that transcend time.
It far exceeded expectations. As I’m not a fan of tribute shows, it took me by surprise. Congratulations to Joe Henry and T-Bone.
A group of musician’s musicians put on a remarkable show. We all love Bob Dylan’s music and this group of performers added a level of musicality and emotion that elevated these remarkable songs and their cultural footing in our lives to a higher plateau.
