Taylor Tomlinson on Tour

Taylor Tomlinson is on her way to Australia for her very first time! Taylor exploded onto the international stage when her hour-long special, “Quarter-Life Crisis,” debuted on Netflix just as the world entered into a once-in-a-century pandemic. The special went on to be named “Best of 2020” by New York Times, Decider, Paste and earned unanimous critical praise with the Washington Post calling her “your favourite quarantine-watch” and Newsweek declaring her “undeniably hilarious.”

As seen on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, CONAN, Comedy Central's Adam Devine's House Party, and Netflix’s The Comedy Lineup, as well as a top-ten finish in season 9 of NBC’s Last Comic Standing.

"whip-smart and spectacularly cynical" - Mashable

Hurry, this will sell out!

Taylor Tomlinson Background

Taylor Tomlinson is one of comedy's rising stars. Born in 1993 and raised in a religious family in Temecula, California, she first caught the humor bug after taking a stand-up class with her dad in a church basement. At 16, Tomlinson then started opening gigs headlined by the teacher of that class, a Christian comedian, at churches and other venues.

At that point, her approach to humor was decidedly clean-cut. However, Tomlinson quickly found her footing in the comedy world by performing at colleges while loosening up her repertoire to include things such as dating and relationships. Tomlinson herself left college at age 20 to do comedy full-time, which led to her career taking off: She finished in the Top 10 of Season 9 of NBC's Last Comic Standing and appeared on The Tonight Show, Conan, MTV's Safe Word, and Adam Devine's House Party.

She appeared on the stand-up-geared Fox show Laughs, where she moved from being a contestant to a guest host and the sole host for the third season. In 2018, she did a 15-minute set on Netflix's The Comedy Lineup and was named one of Variety's 10 Comics to Watch that same year. In March 2020, Tomlinson's star rose even more, as she starred in her own hour-long Netflix special, Quarter-Life Crisis.

    Disappointment

by Bucky on 12/14/21Uptown Theater - Kansas City

I feel like there has to be a better way for them to check people’s purses and run the wand over you. It made the show late getting started almost 30 minutes. Feel like we got gypped show time. After the opening act it didn’t seem like she was on stage very long.

Taylor Tomlinson Almost DC Late show

by Marc G on 11/17/21Capital One Hall - Tysons

I enjoyed seeing Taylor for the second of two shows in McLean, Va as she made laugh numerous times during the hour plus show. I had some issues with the venue but the show was enjoyable and that made this a great night even with the issues I had with the Capital One Hall, which is very nice venue but needs to improve the access and also parking issues for back to back shows.

    Hilarious!!!

by Steph on 11/17/21Capital One Hall - Tysons

I am a huge fan of Taylor and she absolutely killed it!!! This was my first time seeing her live and I couldn't have asked for a better performance! I would highly recommend anyone looking for an amazing night out to laugh and just enjoy themselves to go and see Taylor. Also, unbeknownst to me, the venue is brand new and you could definitely tell! It was warm and inviting but also had an upscale touch to it.

Excellent Entertainment, COVID Precautions were Laughable

by Mandy on 11/16/21Capital One Hall - Tysons

Had a great time listening to Taylor's comedy, but if we had known the how poorly COVID precautions were going to be enforced we would have waited for her show to become a Netflix special. I called the venue twice to discuss COVID precautions, and they did check our vaccine cards and IDs as promised, but did not enforce their mask rule. As soon as some folks got into the theater, they took their masks off and put them away. Many had a drink in their hand but weren't actively drinking. Ushers did nothing to remind patrons to keep their masks on. At the Kennedy Center, drinks are not allowed inside the theater so that there is no excuse to remove your mask. If you are thinking about going to a live event at Capitol One Hall, see if it is also offered at the Kennedy Center or just stay home.

WOwnderFul show, venue needs to work on some things

by Laughing cow on 11/16/21Capital One Hall - Tysons

i thought the show was absolutly fantastic. funny, relevant, fresh and original. her presense on stage is a bright shining star. she not only tells you a story but performs it and puts you into it. the venue says doors open at 830 but crowds were forced to wait in the freezing cold for over an hour. staff were untrained and didnt konw the procedures. each one telling me different ways to go. when getting a drink i waited about 15 min with only one person in front of me. then when it was my turn to order more bartenders came out and started taking drinks of the people behind me. i was amazed that i could be ordered over like that. if you cant handle my order then why take orders of the people behind me. treat the person in front with respect.

    Amazing!!!

by Sky on 11/16/21Capital One Hall - Tysons

Venue was absolutely gorgeous, the ticket/vaccine card/metal detector line was very streamlined. Only drawback was the long lines for concession. Despite that, looking forward to being back soon!

    Hilarious

by Oboogie on 11/16/21Capital One Hall - Tysons

It was a very funny show! Taylor got personal with some things but she knew just how far to go before it got too serious. And to be honest we can’t take ourselves to seriously and have to learn to make fun of ourselves. Our past experiences don’t define us they just help grow along this journey we call life. It was extremely funny and I’m glad I went along for the ride!
