    Magnificent

by y2kbj on 3/6/11Ferguson Center for the Arts Concert Hall - Newport News

This was a supurb event. Don't know how those performers could move their feet so fast and so intricate. Delightful to watch. The musicians were fabulous also.

    Didn' hold our interest

by SunnyD562 on 3/6/11Ferguson Center for the Arts Concert Hall - Newport News

This show was not what I expected. I loved the music and the interpretation of the musicians, but the dance not so much. We though it a little boring and the dancers not totally professional. We left the theater at half time. Sorry!

    Very captivating!!!!

by Retired05 on 3/3/11Fox Theatre Atlanta - Atlanta

Worth the trip from Foley, AL to Atlanta, spent 2 nights. If I lived in Argentina, would go to see this dance every night.

Great show - lots of fun, passionate energy. The sheer skirt over the thong on one of the dancers in the last number was really out of place and cheapened an otherwise elegant performance. But overall, bravo!

This show was great! If you are new to Tango or if you enjoy Tango this show will give you an excellent performance from both, the dancers, and musicians. Most of the songs executed are "modern" Tangos but the mix a couple of classics as well like: La Cumparsita, Choclo, Por una Cabeza.

by SupaSugaMama on 2/28/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

This was a great show. We had seats with no legroom, but enjoyed the performance immensely. I'm definitely going to the next one. The musicians were also amazing.

Tango Buenos Aires was a bit disappointing

by Annon1492 on 2/27/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

Technically the dancing was superb. The leg movement....the lifts were beautifully performed. What was missing was the passion. The tango is such a sensuous dance and I was expecting to see dancing as you would see in Argentina where the dancers are so emotionally connected with each other. This seemed "mechanical" by contrast.

    An authentic, tasteful tango performance

by Rpuch on 2/25/11University At Buffalo Center for the Arts - Buffalo

I give the producers of Tango Buenos Aires a lot of credit for putting on an authentic tango performance without the over-the-top outfits and lifts you see on Dancing with the Stars. --- The music was great (the violin was a bit too loud) and provided a nice accompaniment as well as entertainment while the dancers changed outfits. --- It was nice to see the variety of dances woven into one overriding story. The dancers were incredibly talented and deserved the standing ovation they received from the crowd.

    Energetic and sensual

by Buffaloclown on 2/24/11University At Buffalo Center for the Arts - Buffalo

This was a great show. You'd think two hours of tango might be a bit much, but it was not. In fact, we didn't want the show to end. It was wonderful. The dancers were great, as was the music, and the costumes were beautiful.

    Enjoyable and something different.

by KJ2011 on 2/9/11Music Hall Center - Detroit

As a surprise to my wife, I took her to see Tango Buenos Aires as she loves dancing. Show was about 1hr 45min in length with a 15min intermission. My wife and I both enjoyed the show. The performers, dancing, and music were amazing. There were very few props or backgroud decorations which basically forces you to watch the performers. We will probably see it again if the show comes around again in a couple of years.

Buenos Aires Tango: the real thing!

by AnaliaA on 2/7/11Music Hall Center - Detroit

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with this show. (We've seen other tango shows in the US, that we were left wondering where the tango went.) The music selection was a compilation of great tangos. The dancing was beautiful and playfull. The only thing I didn't like was the electric-sounding guitar. Bravo a todos los chicos: muy buen show!

The music was superb. However, the dancing could be a bit more dramatic and sultry. I expected more drama overall. The skill level is there but need to work on showmanship a bit.
