The seats were a little disappointing when you look at the cost.

Tampa Bay Lightning History
The Tampa Bay Lightning joined the league as an expansion team (along with the Ottawa Senators) in 1992, and earned their first berth in the Playoffs in the 1995-1996 season. The Bolts began to achieve consistent success in 2002-2003; the key ingredient was 1998 first-round draft pick Vincent Lecavalier, a center who went on to play 14 seasons for the Lightning and set almost every team scoring record.
After making the second round in the 2002-2003 Playoffs, the Bolts rocketed to the Stanley Cup Final the following season behind the league's scoring leader, Martin St. Louis, the goaltending of Nikolai Khabibulin, and the efforts of Lecavalier, Brad Richards, Fredrik Modin, Ruslan Fedotenko, Cory Stillman, and captain Dave Andreychuk. The Lightning defeated the Calgary Flames in a Stanley Cup Final that included four games decided by one goal, two of which came in overtime. Fedotenko scored both goals in the clinching 2-1 victory in Game 7.
The Lightning flirted with Playoff success the next two seasons, but struggled for three years after that. After bringing in Hall of Famer Steve Yzerman as general manager, the team returned to the Playoffs in 2010-2011, 2013-2014, and again the following season, when the Bolts—boasting the highest-scoring offense in the league—won 50 games, and the Eastern Conference title. They dispatched the Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadiens, and New York Rangers in a hard-fought series en route to the Stanley Cup Final, where they ultimately lost to the Chicago Blackhawks in six games.
Powered by the scoring of Nikita Kucherov and Steven Stamkos, the Lightning contended again in 2015-2016, only to be turned away in the conference finals by the eventual winner of the Stanley Cup Championship, the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Lightning subsequently went on to win back-to-back titles, taking home the Stanley Cup Championship in 2020 and 2021, becoming the first-ever team to win two Stanley Cup Championships within one year. The Lightning appeared in the championship again in 2022, but lost to the Colorado Avalanche in Game 6.

vs Montreal
by SlicerSwed on 12/31/09St Pete Times Forum Tampa Bay Lightning - TampaRating: 2 out of 5Hi. We came 12 people all the way from Sweden and it was the first time we went to a NHL-game. The Arena was wunderful and extra-extra nice but why that crazy price for a beer????? ELEVEN (11) DOLLARS ?????.....and why so expensive tickets? Everything around was nice but the game was a dissapointment. We had realy high expectation but it was realy boooooooring. The tempo is actually better back home.\\ Anyway......it was fun but next time we will try another team, lite The Rangers i NY.
NICE
by smandude on 12/31/09St Pete Times Forum Tampa Bay Lightning - TampaRating: 5 out of 5The game was great. Not only did it go into overtime but the vibe and energy were cool. Dancers, great visual scoreboard, and camera moves. A lot of fun if you get involved which everyone seemed to enjoy.

Good game - especially if you were a Canadiens' fan.
Lightning Hockey Game
by beachbronze1291 on 12/30/09St Pete Times Forum Tampa Bay Lightning - TampaRating: 5 out of 5We sat high up but we were center ice. You could see everything that was going on. The staff is always friendly. They have an unlimited amount of food choices too. The game was intense. The Lightning won 2-1 and the Boston fans were definitely disappointed. This was my christmas present to my dad. I kind of splurged on him! It was a great time had by all.
Lightning at the Forum
by PondPwr on 12/29/09St Pete Times Forum Tampa Bay Lightning - TampaRating: 3 out of 5The lightning put on a good show for the home crowd. The arena is pretty nice with some of the best food 'brands' I have seen at an arena (Outback, Gordon Bierch, etc). The arena was also the coldest arena I have ever been in.
Great Christmas Gift and Great Game
by Silverj01 on 12/29/09St Pete Times Forum Tampa Bay Lightning - TampaRating: 4 out of 5I bought the tickets as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend who had mentioned a few times that he wanted to attend a game. We had a great time and the game was a great one! Go Bolts!
St. Pete Times Forum
by RICHFROMNH on 12/29/09St Pete Times Forum Tampa Bay Lightning - TampaRating: 4 out of 5Great place to see a hockey game and is a great safe area to bring your family . Parking was only 10.00 versus 25.00 to 50.00 in Boston. This will now become an event I will attend every year when the Bruins are in Tampa to play the Lightning.

What a Battle at the Bay!
by Rocketrick on 12/10/09St Pete Times Forum Tampa Bay Lightning - TampaRating: 5 out of 5From the moment the first puck dropped until the final buzzer sounded, this game was non-stop action. There was hard hitting, phenomenal goaltending, blistering slapshots, and even a few rumbles to keep the adrenaline pumping. I thought I was watching a playoff game for a minute or two.
Seats were terrible
by Anonymous on 12/6/09St Pete Times Forum Tampa Bay Lightning - TampaRating: 2 out of 5The hockey game was fine but I feel the prices have gotten out of control to attend with your family. We were not told that one of the seats we purchased would be a folding chair. The chair was uncomfortable and for the price we should have been warned so we could have chosen if the cost was worth it.
WILL CALL VIRGIN
by KOOLBREEZ13 on 12/1/09St Pete Times Forum Tampa Bay Lightning - TampaRating: 5 out of 5GREAT SEATS, GREAT PRICE! NO LINES OR WAITING AT THE WILL CALL BOOTH.
Lightning-Rangers
by Pink4917 on 11/28/09St Pete Times Forum Tampa Bay Lightning - TampaRating: 4 out of 5Tickets were easy to retrieve -- seats were great -- and the Forum is an easy venue to find. Lighting 'slayed' the Rangers -- but it was great fun anyway!
GREAT GAME
by SHELLER23 on 11/28/09St Pete Times Forum Tampa Bay Lightning - TampaRating: 5 out of 5The game was great, lots of excitment at all times. As far as the snacks, a little pricey and the lines were long, the snack bar we went to to get a hot dog was long as 2 of their automatic menu/pay boards were out of order
great game & decent seats.
by Stan9 on 11/28/09St Pete Times Forum Tampa Bay Lightning - TampaRating: 5 out of 5It was a great game & we had decent seats at lowest price. really is not a bad seat in the place. Sound system first rate.
Bolts win over NYR!
by dhyland on 11/28/09St Pete Times Forum Tampa Bay Lightning - TampaRating: 5 out of 5What a great win over a seemingly lackluster Ranger team. Although, probably not the return home John Torterella was looking for. The forum is a great place for hockey and hopefully more fans will begin to come and see this "electrifying" hockey team.

Pricy seats. Fantastic view - center ice 100 section Tough to warrant regular games with the family or business at the price point.
- by BrazilianHockeyFan on 11/17/09St Pete Times Forum Tampa Bay Lightning - TampaRating: 5 out of 5
Really easy to pick tickets and park car... View of center ice was amazing... Facilities are great... Great time at St. Pete's Times Forum
Exciting game despite the loss
by 94JZA80 on 11/16/09St Pete Times Forum Tampa Bay Lightning - TampaRating: 5 out of 5Not a bad seat in the house, and this is coming from a couple who sat in the "nose bleed" section. The Forum is a great place for NHL Hockey.
