I absolutely loved the event. All the artists were excellent. This should be an annual event with different gospel artist. Outstanding

Tamela Mann made the whole experience better

    by Patterson1941 on 3/25/14Hampton Coliseum - Hampton

I was disappointed with the entire experience. The seats were uncomfortable, the music was loud and distorted and once someone stood up in front of you, your view was blocked completely and we were forced to watch the screen the entire show. That was my first experience at the Hampton Colosium and i just expected a more comfortable show. I actually walked out and was going to leave my 50.00 seats, but i wanted to see Tamela Mann who i came to see originally. At this point I would probably not have anything good to see about the Hampton Colosium to anyone. I paid three dollars for a hotdog that was shriveled and old.

Overall, I enjoyed the concert. However, there was way too much going on. I was disappointed that the actual concert, of the advertised artist, did not start until 9:00. There were too many local choirs, who did more songs than the artists were able to do. Their time was cut and I felt like they were rushed and not able to really minister, especially Tamela Mann, Isaac Caree & J Moss. I feel too much was crammed into this concert (breast cancer awareness, showcasing local artist) and a lot of randomness. I did enjoy the concert but I hope next time it will be planned a little better and if local choirs are invited, not so many and limit the songs to 2. I appreciate your efforts to bring gospel artists to Hampton Roads!! God Bless!

    Tamela Mann was awesome!!

by CKeys on 3/25/14Hampton Coliseum - Hampton

The show was awesome and the local talent was amazing. The presentations discussing breast cancer were informative and interesting but they took up too much time between acts. There were also too many other groups and thus Tamela's time was cut short. Since she was the headliner, she should have had more time. My only other issue was the acoustics. It was so loud that some people had to leave. With J Moss you could not even understand the words because it was so loud. The sound technician should have picked up on it. I spoke to one of the local performers and he indicated that even they noticed that it was extremely loud. I would love to see Tamela again and I was hilarious when David "Mr. Brown" came out to entertain. Their love for each other is evident by their interactions.

This was my 1st Gospel concert I have ever attended at the Hampton Coliseum. I can say that I really enjoyed myself. The one thing I had to get use to was the lighting. I felt the lighting could have been up just a little (especially during intermission) and when the announcers where on stage speaking about the America Cancer Society.

    We Are One Gospel Celebration

by WasteofGoodMoney on 3/25/14Hampton Coliseum - Hampton

The concert was a total waste of my hard earned money. There were too many "pre-shows" that took time from who we all came to see. The first act with the couple, the lady with her son and others truly took time from Tamela and J Moss. I enjoyed FBCSH and The Mount, but we can see them anytime. They should have only performed one selection and they should have been the only opening acts. I understand the reason for the event, but I did not need 10 people reminding me to get a breast exam and to do my monthly exams. Two would hafe sufficed. What were the planners thinking? The buzz in my area told me that I was not alone in my thinking. The first two hours were wasted. I did not arrive at 6:15 to see an act that began after nine. RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!! Then, to rush J Moss off the stage after only a few songs, and for Tamela to only sing about 5 songs out of her incredible portfolio? AGAIN, RIDICULOUS!!!!!

WE ARE ONE GOSPEL WAS GOOD BUT TOO LONG

by PERKITUP on 3/25/14Hampton Coliseum - Hampton

THE EVENT WAS VERY NICE BUT THERE WERE TOO MANY LOCAL GROUPS AND TOO MUCH TALKING AT THE WRONG TIMES BY THE TIME THE MAIN ACTS WERE TO PERFORM THEY WERE CUT SHORT AND TO MANY THAT WAS THE MAIN REASON WHY WE PURCHASED TICKETS. I FEEL SUPPORTING YOUR LOCAL GROUPS IS GREAT BUT IT WAS WAY TOO MANY. LEAVING A GOSPEL CONCERT AT 11:30 AND NOT REALLY GETTING TO ENJOY THE MAIN ATTRACTIONS WAS DISAPPOINTING.

    TAMALA MANN is genuine.

by DivaSunshine on 3/25/14Hampton Coliseum - Hampton

The local attractions took up too much time. They should have gone on last. By the time the main attraction was presented, the crowd was tired and ready to go home. My first visit to the Colisum - its pretty on the outside but quite rugged inside. TIme for an internal facelift. Valet parking (with a fee) should be offerred. Tamala was excellent!

    Tamela Mann was wonderful!!

by SpringGospelFan on 3/10/14Old National Events Plaza (formerly the Centre) - Evansville

It was such a blessing to hear and watch Tamela Mann and Le'Andria Johnson perform. They were great! I do think each of them needed more time on stage. The event planners had local and other groups scheduled, which was nice as well, however, they were allowed too much time on the stage --- personally!

    Spring Gospel Fest

by MsPrincess on 3/10/14Old National Events Plaza (formerly the Centre) - Evansville

This show was the bomb! From the local praise dancers and singers to the nationally reknown. Lamar Campbell and Spirit of Praise were delightful and vibrant. Beautiful music; what a ministry. Le'Andria Johnson can sangggg! She was so in touch with the audience and has a humble spirit. Love that! Tamela Mann always shuts it down. I loved her performance and testimony! She is gifted and blessed!
