Thoroughly enjoyed the game and the atmosphere, except for the obnoxiously over-amped PA announcer, who insisted on shouting into his mic, making his announcements not only too load, but often distorted beyond comprehension. Either tone it down or turn down the volume!
I was so glad to get to go to the Sounders Game @ Cheney Stadium w/ my kids on Mother's Day. I would not have known about it except that a friend who has Rainier Tickets told me. I have Sounders alerts usually, but did not see this advertised. It was not as costly for me, which was helpful becuz I am a single Mom w/ 4 teenagers. And we LOVE the Sounders! It is easy to get to Tacoma, we live in Bremerton. We had good seats. We like to be up a bit, so we can see the whole field better. There was not as much noise and hooting and hollering from the stands as we are used to @ the Sounders games. I think this was because there were not as many people due to it being Mothers Day and lack of advertising maybe. But there were flags and songs going on at the end of the filed. My freind commented that that was pretty cool to have those guys chanting and singing and waving the flags. And also that they spead out and made themselves "BIGGER" than their numbers. How come there wasn't music? Or did I miss that? Folks like Rock & Roll and upbeat music. And the scoreboard could have more info, names, numbers, trivia and such? We didn't see any Sounders merchandise, that was a bummer. I was hoping to get another Sounders Scarf. And I also would have liked a program so we knew who the players are. Of course we recognize our favorites, but we want to root for the up-and-comers as well! Will we come again for Sounders? Yes. I hope I get information sooner about upcoming Sounder events at Cheney Stadium, cuz it would be a bummer to miss a game!
