    Swervedriver

by swerved on 3/26/13Bowery Ballroom - New York

Excellent show. And I am someone not given to hyperbole, who is usually disappointed by shows. Even though the music is 20+ years old, it doesn't sound dated, at least not to me. Excellent psychedelic shoegaze.

    Swervedriver was cosmic!!

by Anonymous on 4/2/12Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORK

Such a fantastic band played a great set covering many different songs from there 20+ year catalogue (with some new surprises) to a packed Bowery Ballroom crowd that was enjoying the "space walk". Excellent evening and CANNOT WAIT to see them again.

    Wound Around

by EarlBFeiden on 4/2/12Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORK

This show ruled. Getting progressively harder now to see a "real" shoegazer outfit so I couldn't pass this up. Up first was Heaven great act with dude wot played with Dean and Britta + Ambulance LTD both shined through well. Synth heavy but more blissed out sound overall. Swervedriver killed it. They have a hard sound that is into you like a train at first but it proves to be dynamic enough for the more thoughtful guitar work in some bridges. Drummer was very tight and was the center of gravity (rightfully so) more often than not. As this band's prominence was getting on twenty years ago!, I was hoping for something new, would have been fun to hear how they communicate today. Everything off "Mezcal" is crucial 'Gaze and I think they played more than half the tracks off that. Early in the set they slapped me in the face with a great cover of "Motor Away" it blew my mind. Being a Sega Genesis kid I was raring to hear "DUEL" all night they played it absolutely last I'm not bummed about it but would have been down to hear it absolutely first it is that kind of song. This band rules check them out also Bowery Ballroom is head and shoulders over lots of other manhattan venues 9/10 podium stuff all the way well done boys

    Swervedriver

by steverinaldo on 4/2/12Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORK

Awesome. They were better on this stop in NYC than they were 4 years ago when they played the same venue. A band that should have been much more popular than they were/are.

    Swervedriver, finally!

by sputnik3 on 4/2/12Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORK

The show was everything I'd hoped for. I had always wanted to see Swervedriver back in the nineties, but I was never able to do so. I'm so glad I heard about this show and was able to go, because they haven't missed a step. Adam's voice sounds just as good as it always did, and they put on a fantastic show! I would not hesitate to see them again, if they ever come back through NYC.

    Hey its Swervedriver!

by Anonymous on 3/31/12Brighton Music Hall - Boston

Finally got to see 'em! Drove 200 miles one way so it was worth it. This band is always in my CD rotation so they never gather dust that's for sure. So unheralded. If you like a band go see 'em, you'll never regret it. Thanx Swervies! And keep writing its never too late to get the airplay you deserve.

    great show as always

by DougOrleans2 on 3/31/12Brighton Music Hall - Boston

It was great to hear so many old songs, and a few later-period songs that they hadn't played in a while. Also the GBV cover was a complete surprise but it totally worked. No idea who the fill-in drummer was (their original drummer couldn't get a visa, I heard), but he was really great!
