About

When your parents popped in a Neil Diamond tape on repeat during long interstate road trips, you reluctantly sang along. Never thought you'd turn out to be a Diamond fan now, right? But singing along to "Sweet Caroline" and "Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show" is so addictive now, you'd do anything to see Neil on stage. A band out of San Francisco can put a rest to that Diamond thirst. Super Diamond delivers a high-octane Diamond tribute show that rocks!

How can you not have fun at Super Diamond? Besides playing Neil Diamond music, they are amazing musicians who put on a well thought out show! So much fun!

  • SuperDiamond totally rocked!!

This is not your Mother's Neil Diamond! I'm a big fan of Neil Diamond, and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that SuperDiamond actually improved on the original! This was probably the most fun concert I've been to in my life. SuperD takes the original songs and makes them edgier, adding more bass guitar, and blending in, at times, intros from other songs like The Who, Led Zeppelin and other awesome tunes! The band is incredibly talented, and very engaging (not to mention Totally Hawt!) It's impossible to not jump up and dance! The band had the whole audience engaged and dancing for most of their numbers - even at some point, they had to fight off hordes of hot blonde cougars from jumping on the stage to dance!

I'd heard about Super Diamond for years but this was the first time I saw the group. If you are a Neil Diamond fan this does not dissapoint. Even if you are not a Neil Diamond fan you will enjoy the show. The music was great, the performance was Super(b) and the band just played and played. Definitely worth the money!

Thoroughly enjoyed Surreal Neal and his band. The guitarist is really good too. This is the second time we've gone to see them, and just love to hear them! A great time.

I've seen them several times before. It is a great show. I took my mother, and she had a ball.

the sound was terrible, very muffled and hard to hear the lead singer....couldn't tell what songs were playing right away....had a great time even though...opening act systme was very clear.

  • My ears are still hurting

by Dakota333 on 2/7/11Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 3 out of 5

Character. Charisma. Energy. All of these words describe what I experienced at the Super Diamond show. These folks really know how to make you feel like you're part of the evening. Without a question it would have been a five-star show if I didn't have to excuse myself by the second song to spend five minutes in the bathroom trying to roll the toilet paper tight enough to get in my ears. What was before a collection of over-produced poorly mixed soundbites was now a muffled collection of over-produced poorly mixed soundbites. I made it through to the end and enjoyed the excitement the performers clearly possessed for their show, but was disappointed that I didn't get to truly enjoy it.

  • Not so Super anymore

by Groggy on 2/7/11Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 3 out of 5

We've seen these guys before and they really do a great job, however this time they seem to have lost their flair. Looked like they were tired of doing the same old songs so they played a bunch of not so popular songs. Great for the Super Serious Neil Diamond fan but not so great for the fans of just the big hits. Could have done a better job of mixing up the playlist. DID NOT LIKE the late start of 10:30pm. Opening band started at 9pm. Did not like the opening band! Great 80's songs but the singer was awful!

  • Super Diamond made it a Super Saturday!

by irene1980 on 2/7/11Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

The only reason these guys didnt get 4 stars is because Its not the real Neil. They played almost 4 hours, rocked the house and were amazing. Played almost all of the hits, and some mix's I loved.

  • AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!!!

Again, it was so much fun!!! How great that they were sold out! Wish they were here more often. Can't wait to see them next time!

  • Super Diamond was a disappointment

by spoonswithdogs on 2/7/11Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 3 out of 5

I took my 2 goddaughters and their mom, my best friend, we all love Neil Diamond. We were so disappointed with the band, they didn't sound like Neil at all, we ended up leaving after 5 or 6 songs. We did, however, enjoy Dudley Manlove (the openers) and the venue at the Showbox at the Market.

I had always heard about "Super Diamond" and that it was a great show. I am so glad I could finally experience this amazing show over my Birthday weekend. I recommend this show to anyone.

The Super Diamond concert was amazing. The singing and music were incredible! The group (particularly Surreal Neil) had great performance skills. I loved hearing all the great Neil Diamond songs. I also enjoyed seeing how into it the audience got with singing up -- and with dressing up in 70s clothes. I've already recommended Super Diamond to my friends. They were awesome!!!

  • Super Diamond is the BEST EVER..

  • Super Diamond rocks!

by Anonymous on 10/4/10Ogden Theatre - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

This is probably the 10th time I've seen Super Diamond and they are always amazing! I am a huge Neil Diamond fan, so I appreciate how true they are to his music, how the Surreal Neil has obviously studied live performances and does so many of the quirky things that Neil does in concert, and how sincere they are in their appreciation of his music. Be prepared that the show always starts very late (official start time 9pm, but opening act for the first hour and then they set up and start between 10:15-10:30) and it is a kind of rowdy crowd. I have brought many different people to these concerts, most of whom were not big Neil Diamond fans, and they've all enjoyed it immensely. They play most of Neil's big hits, but also some more obscure stuff too, which is awesome.

  • Super Diamond Doesn't Disappoint!

I have gone to see Super Diamond for the last 5 years and they have never let me down. By far best concert ever!

  • Super Diamond Rocks

by VeeMee on 7/24/10Pasadena Civic Plaza - PasadenaRating: 4 out of 5

Super Diamond lived up to their rep of sounding just like Neil, but Surreal Neil does not display the same vitality/energy that Real Neil does in his body language. But it was great even tho the audience was a little slow to engage - lots of talking going on during the first two numbers. I think the outdoor venue was a drawback. Sound system was cranked up and caused some whistling from Neil's elongated "eses" at ends of words and static sounds overall. I also do not know why the spotlights behind the band were for the most part aimed at the audience - I was pretty much blinded by the light throughout the concert causing quite a distraction to say nothing of the spots in my eyes (like when a flashbulb goes off). But I would go to see them again and know that I would really enjoy myself. At one point while the band was playing Neil was checking his iphone - may be for Tweets, but I was astounded.

  • A Blast from My Past!

by ekgal on 7/24/10Pasadena Civic Plaza - PasadenaRating: 5 out of 5

A wonderful summer evening with such great music, the crowd was on it's feet and singing to their favorite Neil Diamond songs. Super Diamond's great vocals and fun guitarists had the crowd - both young and not tooo old :) singing, dancing and having a great time with such hits as Sweet Caroline, September Morn, Salvation Show - I could go on and on.

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE

    by Caitlyn5 on 5/30/10Cubby Bear - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Super Diamond is incredible and always calls for a great night! They do such a fantastic show and it is full of energy and fun! I have seen them at House of Blues before and that venue was much more concert like over little Cubby Bear...but they still rocked it out and gave an incredible show to everyone. I would highly recommend this to everyone as they are the best tribute band (and maybe band in general) that I have ever seen!!!

  • Super Diamond is Super Fabulous!

Awesome show! Brought back many memories of car trips with my parents listening to 8-track tapes of Neil Diamond. Blending in some of our generation's music with the Neil Diamond songs was a fantastic addition to the show. Looking forward to seeing them again when they are back in Chicago! Fun night!
