    Good for the girls

by Elizabeth on 5/3/22Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

Brought tickets online weeks ago kept it secret from my 3 granddaughters. my 13 yr old dropped the ball and mentioned circus. so when we got up Saturday I told them get ready put some nice clothes on we're going to the park. when we got to Bladidsdales parking lot their eyes start getting big but then they saw cotton candy popcorn they were thrilled!! It has been a long time since I have seen more happier looks on my granddaughters faces than them looking at the different Acts at the circus and eating their favor cotton candy and popcorn and sodas. Nice things like a circus is back.

    It was OK

by Toddler Mom on 5/3/22Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

We left during intermission. It was okay. My favorite part was the male Lyra artist and my son enjoyed the motor cyclist on the tight rope and in the cage. Some of the other acts could use some work. I used to be a dance instructor and I noticed at times the choreography was off. Overall decent show and appropriately priced for what it is. No offense to the cast, but this isn’t Cirque Du Soleil, so it’s generally what I expected. I would probably watch again just to see the male Lyra artist, he was mesmerizing and obviously passionate about his art. My son didn’t want to come back after intermission so we left.

    Terrible

by John on 5/3/22Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

This was terrible. The acts were not that good, the grand finale was a let down and the whole time it seemed like a sales pitch for the overpriced light up swords they were selling. Total waste of time and money.

Was not worth the money. The show was so compacted.

    Seemed very inexperienced

by Mom of 2 on 5/2/22Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

We paid for lower level preferred seats that cost us about $60 per ticket (w/taxes). The circus sold a medium sized bag of cotton candy for $20 and light up toys for children for $25 each. The circus itself seemed very inexperienced. Members seemed appropriate however they were dropping pins and balls constantly by mistake. There was an older man who was acting like a clown but not dressed as one who seemed to take up most of the show. His acting did not seem to impress the children or the adults. There were men jump roping to simple 80’s-90’s jump rope moves which were not amusing. The motorcycles were interesting to watch but nothing extremely spectacular. The staff seemed very pleasant but unfortunately have to say this was not worth the money we spent. It was definitely not a circus we expected even living in a small city.

    Much room to improve

by Reiny on 5/2/22Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

Not a Circus - very disappointed. Highlight motorcycle stunt in the smallest sphere in the world… other than that - OK for younger than 5 years old.

    Worst Circus Ever!

    by R. C. on 5/2/22Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

This event was aweful. This is the 3rd time I have taken my kids to this group's event at the same venue in Hawaii and this was by far the worst version of this cirus I have seen. I dont know if Covid sent all of the good performers into regular jobs and now they are taking whatever they can get or what happened but this was not worth going to. Even my kids (10 and 7 years old) said, "Dad, that wasn't a very good circus." The couple of good acts performed their acts for 30-45 seconds, took their bow and stopped. It seemed like they felt like "whew, I didn't crash, better quit now." The lady who got pulled up by her hair was very cool. It's hard to believe that is even possible. The women who did the acrobatics on the long drape-like things were good. One performer in that group was excellent. That was about it. The sound system was terrible. We had good seats but couldnt understand much of what they were saying. They had a roving light system that kept blinding everyone every 30 seconds. The jugglers constantly dropped thier pins. The modern-clown (no makeup guy doing stupid and un-funny gags) was 45 minutes of the 1 hour and 45 minute show and he was not funny or entertaining. It was really sad. It seemed like something a high-school could put on (with a few exceptions) where they charge $20 for a bag of popcorn, $25 for little light up some $2 lilgh-yp words and the highlight of the show seemed to be the extended intermission where the kids wanted to get their faces painted. Previous shows with this organization have been very good. This one was a big disappointment.

Go if you want to treat your kids

    by E. R. on 5/1/22

I cant believe I spent money for this. I shouldve read the reviews before purchasing the tickets. Only worth going if you have kids and want to treat them out. Other than that as an adult this circus is a joke. It was very cheesy and corny and it doesnt take any special skills or talent to do any of these tricks. Most of the acts they do they only do it for like 10 seconds and thats it. Juggling, jump roping.. seriously? The aerialists choreography was horribly off and one of them couldnt even do some of the tricks. I know to never go to this again.

    It was a let down

    by K.K on 3/5/20Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

We went to the past years circus when Bello Knock was performing and it was absolutely AMAZING!!!! So amazing that I had to bring my kids back again this year (2020) Sadly it was a total let down...I mean the amount of money we spent for what we got was so not worth it. I have to give credit to the guys who killed it with their jumps, also to the rope walker and to the man in the cage as well as the man who killed it with the ring....other then that WHAT THE HECK did we pay for???? That was not worth the money this year. Bring Bello back

Great performances but missed the animals perform

    by B. H. on 3/4/20Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

WE sat at the sidelines with the grandkids. Unless we sat in the front facing the stage, the viewing was limited. Performances by gymnasts and high wire were enjoyed by the kids. Food costs were pricey- $10 for popcorn, cotton candy.

    Super Hokey Circus

by Cotton Candy on 3/3/20Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

I paid for the VIP seating and bought four tickets. I wanted to treat my sister and brother in law to a fun evening that was described as “Cirque du Soleil” style. That was the furthest thing from it! I wanted to leave at the intermission that was announced would be 10 minutes but that turned into 35 minutes because they were trying to sell toy lights and such. The strong man act (a man in a ballon costume) was really pushing it over the edge. The best part of the circus was the man selling cotton candy and dancing crazily with his 4 foot stick full of cotton candy!!

Not as much fun as expected

    by A. M. on 3/3/20Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

$20 bag of popcorn? $10 pic per superhero, told about the price after making a long trip down to the stage. Bad sound set up, a lot of times we can hear the music but not the people talking. And in total honesty it was kind of boring. Even the keiki we brought with us at times were bored. My nephew age 9 asked for my phone... and hes the very one that likes to b outdoors, not on technology all the time.

    Bring $$

by Kelly on 4/5/19Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

Show was good - very talented acrobats. Not a classic circus. Everything was $10 or $12 - drink, cotton candy, etc. Face painting was disorganized - they ran short of time so wrote a number on the kids' hands for their place in line after the show, which no one followed or managed. 2 adults, 3 kids, $100 day.

    Circus

by Lani on 4/5/19Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

We had a great time. Children loved the experience. I did miss animals but I understand difficulty bringing them to Hawaii and maybe Super American doesn't use them. It was great!

    Today's Circus

    by H. G. on 4/3/19Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

I took my son-in-law and my two grandchildren to the American Circus on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. I purchased 4 expensive ($57 ea.) VIP seats for us and was very disappointed. Although the seats were the closest to the ring, the three rows were all at ground level which made it impossible for my 6 and 3 year old grandchildren to see over the adults in the front rows. I could not understand why they did not tier the levels enabling everyone to view the entertainment comfortably. The other General Admission sections in back of us had ascending rows so everyone (even the children) could see the circus performers very easily. I WOULD NOT HAVE SELECTED THOSE EXPENSIVE SEATS IF I KNEW HOW THEY WERE ARRANGED. I WOULD HAVE SETTLED FOR GEN. ADM. SEATS AND SAVED A CHUNK OF MONEY! My grandchildren would have enjoyed the Circus much, much more.
