We had a great time. Was a chillin' day. Loved all the music.
Why it ROCKED: 1) The line up... so sick. Korn... OMG. Pepper... killed it. Sir Ozzy... unforgettable. 2) Location Location Location... Sunset Strip added that "Hell Yeah!!" effect. 3) Staff/Security... Helpful and laid back. Definitely a presence, but let us do our thang' 4) The collaboration of the local clubs/bars and the event... so well done. Bravo! I will be back. Fo sho!
This festival was so great! I never imagined seeing a show right in the middle of one of the most famous streets before until now! I also never imagined that I would get to attend a better festival than most that I dream about being able to go to! Ozzy was great of course! Legend. Korn was great! Pepper was great! Fishbone was great! Iglu & Hartly and Endless Hallway rocked the clubs! This is especially a great experience for some one who has never been to any of these legendary music venues! To top it all off, I never imagined that, going to a show with such big performers as these, I would be within yards of every band I watched. There are many big festivals each year but you will never see one as great at the level its at right now.
I must say, this event was one of the best I have been too. I have been to all the Ozzfest's the last couple years, and I go to concerts regularly. How they had everything set up with the clubs and the outside stages was perfect. Ozzy had many encores and kept the crowd wanting more. Pepper kept the crowd involved and started a party. Korn, which was the main band I came for, was phenomenal! The only part I did not like, was that his mic was not as loud as the instruments. I was very impressed with it all and really hope next year they keep it the same exact way! Sunset Strip Music Festival was a complete success!
It's about time West Hollywood showed praise to the Sunset Strip and I thought they did a good job organizing and promoting it.I would like to see some real former Sunset Strip "special guests" like members of Van Halen,G'N'R and even Poison,Motley Crue.Even if they only mc'd the event. But anyway,it was great, all the bands were great and would love to see more of these things more often, great job by the event organizers!!!
Everything was amazing. Only suggestion is bigger stages.
SSMF was AMAZING!!! The performances by The Donnas, Pepper< Korn, and the prince of darkness OZZY OSBOURNE was incredible.I had the best time in my life.
Great show! Great location! Great bill of bands! Beyond Ozzy and Korn - our favourites were Pepper, Kottonmouth Kings, The Donnas and Unwritten Law. So much music...and on the strip no less.
The show was great. In the future they should confirm that all of the garages listed will actually be open when the festival starts. 9200 Sunset was not open. More vendors with stuff would be great - like at ozzfest. And mostly, it was not clear that the bands would be over by 10PM. Consequently I missed most of Korn and all the bands before them.
the overall experience was great. plenty of bands to see. korn put on a great performance. i was a bit disappointed that we could not actually drink on the strip but other than that one of the best festivals i've been to
Korn def. had its place among the great bands there at the festival, but it was Ozzy that rocked the house down. He put on an hour long show that was energized from start to finish. I never seen the guy in better shape. He prompted the crowd to get crazy over and over and sprayed us all down with that foam cannon that was such a riot. I was fun at its best and Ozzy knows how to mix it all up in a rock n roll montage from Crazy Train to Mr Crowley that only the Prince of Darkness could pull off. I would recommend and am going back every year now to hopefully see the Ozz Man and others. What a great time. G
He was awesome! He was worth getting pushed around!!!
It was great ! YOu should do it more often . Lotsa food , drinks , clubs and fun .
It was an awesome event. It was our first actual concert in LA after our marriage. It was a wonderful concert, different experience with traditional concerts. The atmosphere was so nice, people were so happy and well organized. Come to the bands, As a fan Ozzy was awesome as always and seeing him from a close distance was just GREAT. I never had a chance to see Korn on the stage. They were wonderful and powerful. We were able to see them from very short distance as well. To make it short, this was a great great event. We just LOVED it. Thank you for organizing it.
It's better than anything I ever expected. It's better than any other concert I ever went to. I could do without all the marijuana smell though. People who smoke that out there should have been arrested. If it's illegal, it's illegal everywhere is how I think it should be.
At the beginning it seemed like SSMF would be like many other festivals, good but not great, but SSMF broke that image with some amazing bands in the clubs and on the outdoor stages including Ozzy and Korn, along with some great emerging underground bands at several clubs including most notably the Roxy. From the new bands competing in the clubs to the headliners on the main stage, every musican seemed to have an energy and intensity worthy of the Sunset Strip. Everybody there was having a great time. including Ozzy acting like he was 21 jumping around the stage and drenching the crowd with foam and buckets of water, and Korn's headbanging and mosh pit inducing show.
It definitely was better than Warped Tour this year! If this were an annual festival I would go every year!
What a cool day of fun.Korn was awesome, but Ozzy stole the show. Beer was not even really overpriced that much.
