Unlike many of their deathcore peers, Suicide Silence has never tempered their pummeling attack with anything but more pummeling. They don’t wink at the audience, they haven’t turned to mind-bending technicality, and they don't throw gimmicks on their sound to sell tickets. This kind of single-minded performance and attention to self-improvement is what has garnered them two Golden God awards for “Most Innovative Band” and “Best New Talent.” Squealing guitars, frequent tempo changes and punishing breakdowns are all driven forward by Mitch Lucker’s increasingly impressive and controlled voice. A Suicide Silence concert is a sweat-drenched, bruise-inducing storm handcrafted to drive the pit wild on every song.
Suicide Silence was formed in Riverside, CA, in 2002. Within two years, they had released a self-titled EP and, in 2007, their first LP "The Cleansing." After making a splash on the Billboard Top 100, they released albums that have been more popular, gaining more and more traction in the charts with each release. "No Time to Bleed" was released in 2009 and, along with their performances on their Cleansing the Nation Tour and the Pedal to the Metal Tour, it earned them their two Golden God awards. 2011's "The Black Crown" pushed their sound into a more groove-oriented, metalcore sound and featured vocals from Jonathan Davis of Korn. Tragically, after the The All Star Tour with Unearth, Winds of Plague and others, the group lost vocalist Mitch Lucker in motorcycle accident in November 2012. After a month-long stint on the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour with new vocalist Tanner Womack, Suicide Silence did an "Ending is the Beginning: Mitch Lucker Memorial" show for his daughter's future education costs. Late in 2013, the band announced that a new album is to be released on Nuclear Blast in early summer 2014.
This concert was absolutely amazing!! The whole lineup was awesome!
The whole Chaos and Carnage Tour was phenomenal, providing great performances from all 7 bands. Each brought all the energy and engagement you could desire, and the crowd clearly reciprocated. fOR Suicide Silence in particular, Eddie was entertaining on top of his great musical performance and the band was a phenomenal closer to a great day of deathcore.
I missed Distant and Suicide Silence unfortunately but the other 5 bands were amazing! I would definitely go see this tour again if it came close to my area
Ive been going to shows for 20 years and not only was it my first deathcore show AND sold show, but it is my favorite show by far!
As far as the venue goes: The environment was fun. The lines at the bars were not long. Bathroom was clean. The show was remarkable. I only wish there had been a VIP package to meet Lorna Shore <3
My new favorite venue! The bands were all amazing, and the sound quality was on point!
Security guards failed to realize i walked out wrong door and were extremely hostile and rude to me. I recognize you cant leave but both doors are beside each other and there was no guards at the doors from inside blocking people from leaving or alerting them.... anyways ill never go back i got booted from it before i even for 1 band in on chaos and carnage. Sad as shit to be honest.
Best show I've ever been to, everyone in the crowd was great and the performers were absolutely amazing. Security did a great job of making sure everyone was okay. Couldn't have had a greater night.
Big Night Live is a great venue. The Chaos and Carnage Tour did not disappoint in anyway. All the bands played to the crowd and kept the pit moving.
From first band to last, everything was absolutely brutal. Perfect performance and awesome stage presence. 10/10 recommend. Best line up ive seen yet!!
Baddass!! Can’t wait to see them again! I’ll be there
Show was amazing 👏 every band that played had the whole place rocking🤘🤘🤘
I just saw them at Buckhead Theater 12/3/21. It was the most intense concert I have seen. They played all the right songs too. Slaves to Substance went very hard, and there was a wall of death. Respect to all the band members. They did great and there was nice people in the crowd that helped people up when they fell in the pit. Only love and respect for this band. Thank you Suicide Silence, I hope you come back to Georgia very soon. It was a concent I have been waiting to see for almost 7 years.
Bands were awesome! Crowd was awesome! It was a great time!!!
If you like deathcore this is your thing.place was hot packed and the chamelon club.you like all of that youd dig it
The show in its entirety was amazing. The opening act oceano was brutal and within the first two songs I had already been busted open under and above my right eye however that didn't hinder me in any way whatsoever. The energy of both the performing artists and crowd was infectious and kept me going all the way through. Hands down easily one of the best concerts I've ever attended.
Never been to the Reverb before, but after going i found that the sound was not to bad considering the low ceiling, and ok sound system. Not a flying line array deal here, but overall they had the sound dialed in and was better than some shows with top notch equipment that was all out of wack. The bands put on a rather good performance even in the small club, the crowd was good, beers cheap and the venue was only 1/2 hr away, so overall I give it 4 stars.
I got the VIP upgrade and it was worth every dollar! I mean seriously, I was watching the Giants game with Eddie sitting next to me. What else can you ask for? Super cool dude and they tore shit up on stage!
Suicide was freakin awesome! just wish they could of played longer! There where four idiots who ruined the whole pit! There was a fight on every song, sure loved it when they where getting their faces beaten in! Over all though the venue was great and the sound was METAL!
This event was well worth attending, the bands' performances were great!
