Show was hardcore...opened up with you can't bring me down...even heard possessed to skate...show was UNBELIEVABLE...way to get the blood flowing...best show in long time!!! DEFINITE MUST SEE!!
with a band like Suicidal, you cant skimp on anything production wise. well they did. their FOH guy was horrible! you know its bad when the local opener sounds better than you, a band thats been around for over 20 years. come on Suicidal, fork out a couple bucks to have a real sound guy on tour with you. maybe there would be more than 800 people at your shows....
great band as always, recommend it 100% and the opening bands were also cool
The venue was great! Clean, video screens everywhere, and it was general admission so anywhere you went there wasn't a bad place to watch the show. Security was cool because although they were present, they were not obtrusive so you didn't realize they were there unless you looked for them. Bathrooms were clean, the bars were easy to get a drink from. $4 beer isn't too bad, $3 beer even better but it was pretty cool. The sound was great, since it had a vaulted ceiling it wasn't blaring ear splitting loud, but a good volume as you would expect a concert, especially from a band like Suicidal. You didn't notice the staff sweeping up litter, they blended in well and so it maintained the good general appearance of the place. The venue was big but wasn't so big that it wasn't an intimate experience, but it wasn't so small that it got real hot and uncomfortable. I would rather go to the Palladium than a bigger venue for shows because they are more personal. What can I say? Suicidal totally rocked, not much to say but that they played a lot of iconic songs and their bassist was probably the best I have ever seen, the whole band was super tight and on the dime and the drummer did a solo that was wicked as he twirled his sticks the whole time and it was a mean drum pounding. Mike Muir was freestyling in between songs and it was great. A lot of people think he's very "preachy" but those true fans know he's a very emotional and fan-loving guy and presents you with a true mission statement of what Suicidal Tendencies is all about. He had his bandana covering up a long hair mohawk and he was in great shape so he was running around like a mad man! One of the best shows you can get for $25!! I am Suicidal 4 Life!!!!!
I have waited 25 years to see Suicidal Tendencies. They did not let me down. My only regret was not trying harder to see them before now. All the bands that played were great but Suicidal was what I waited for. The playlist was exactly as I had hoped mostly old stuff with a couple of songs after 1991. Pops Nightclub was great, plenty of room and the sound was spot on. I will be back again for other shows and I will most def be back to see ST.
Mike and the boys haven't missed a beat. They played the classics like Institutionalized, I Shot the Devil & I Want More. I own a bar and got them all to sign a skate deck for me. It's already hanging up!
Well tickets said show started at 5, they didn't even open the doors until 6:30 and it was cold, so that sucked! Then there was not 1, not 2, not 3, but 6 opening bands!! which is cool but would have been nice to know that ahead of time. Seemed like forever before Suicidal finally came on. Wished Suicidal would have played longer instead of so many opening bands. But overall the show rocked!! Had a blast!!
Suicidal Tendencies was awesome. The sound was great. They invited people up on the stage during Pledge Your Allegiance and Mike shook hands and signed autographs after the show.
Huge (hed)pe fanatic. They have so much energy and knowledge. Absolutely love it. ST had just as much energy. First time seeing ST, and will check out the new album they said they were working on, and will check out again. Age didn't hold them back.
WOW!!!.. that was an awesome show.. Mike Clark and Cyco Mike Muir still have it after 20 years......Dean Pleasants shredded on guitar and new comer Steve Brunner slapped that bass like a red headed step child.. Eric Moore rocked his drum solo.. brought me back to the good ol days of chilling in the streets of Orange CountyCA.. Muir never lost a step doing the cyco freak dance.. LOVED IT...cant wait for them to come back to Denver...
The concert was mind blowing, the band was in top shape, the crowd was wild and the setlist was great! The only issue was the sound quality in the Sodo Showbox, it wasn't too good in the opening acts, I thought it was going to improve for the headliners, but it remained kinda bad... Other than that, was a GREAT concert!
It was the BEST in your face "Mental," show I have seen at the Show Box SODO.
ST still Rocks. young teeanage rockers wayu younger then the suicidale crew were rocking out. Awesome pit too, if that's your way to watch.
The picture of ST provided here cracks me up because Rocky and Robert are no longer with ST. However, the band does have Eric Moore and Steve Brunner and Deano holds his own on lead guitar juST fine. Eric Moore is worth the price of admission all by his (formidable) lonesome. The band rips as well as it ever has, and the set list was a crowd-pleaser. 1 1/2 hours of pure energy! BTW, a band called Sprung Monkey opened for ST, and they were very good. I'd check them out again if I get the chance.
Amazing! For the first time ever I got my hundred pound, little body out in the pit and had the time of my life! Someone grabbed my new suicidal hat off my head, but it was worth it!
the bands put on a great show, it was awesome. I would see that line up again in a heart beat. Great venue as well.
They need to tour more often that every 15 years. Great show!
