We had a blast! All of the skaters were amazing! We got several autographs and the entertainment was amazing! Will absolutely go again!
I had such a great time at the SLS event. It was all ages appropriate, exciting, great talent, everything flowed and the crowd was so much fun. It was my first skating event and I can’t wait till they come back to Chicago to join the fun again
Thet event was so great we love to go again thanks
I had a really good time seeing all the pros, battle it out, bunch of free stuff giving away, and enough seats for everyone !
Came in knowing that certain skaters with the right sponsorships would be overrated, but still left a sour taste in my mouth. Also flex ticket pricing could get more people in the door I kept waiting for prices to drop since it was not going to sell out and never did. They need a whole new judging system, but the rollerbladers in charge of olympic skating don't know or care. Skateboarding in the streets can be cool and masculine they have 5 foot 4 ballerinas doing nollie spins no one has ever cared about racking up high scores, so now all the kids have a warped view of good skating.
It was great. Show was excellent, competition format was well run. Lots of action. Super cool to see Olympic athletes throwing down their best tricks. I wish more food options were available if there was one downside. But the beer was cold, and the pizza delish so I was very happy.
I have been watching SLS for years but this is the first time I have seen it in person. It is such an amazing show. Even people who do not follow skateboarding really enjoyed this show. The venue was great with reasonable prices for food and drinks. And the lines moved very quickly. I really hope SLS comes back to Seattle. I would buy tickets every time.
Took my grandsons. 14 an 15. Both scooter/skateboard guys but found this very boring. Very repetitive and to long inbetween women and men. Not enough upbeat for them!!!
It was a blast. Entry was quick, event was exciting and had some amazing skaters that put on a show!!!
I paid extra for 100 level seats on the more expensive side, yet the other side is where all the action was. The seat pricing should reflect the course layout, pretty disappointing.
Such a great experience and such a fun event!!! Love these talented skaters and how close you are to the action!! Everything was A+
Had an amazing weekend full of the best skateboarding I have ever seen in my life!
Dope experience I took my best friend on first day he loves to skate but does get out much and took my son which loves it for the finals it was amazing … ps need invite for Vegas SLS MUCH LOVE #TGM904
I'm a pretty big sports fan that came down from Milwaukee to see street league. I've also followed street league since it's inception and have watched every event since. Being at street league didn't let me down one bit, I was there from 3-9ish conpletely wowed the entire event. It is crazy that this type of event is as cheap as it is (35$ for a 6 hour competition.). I can't wait until the next street league to hit Chicago, and I may consider traveling to future stops.
We were very excited to see this event in Chicago, however there is a lot of room for improvement. The website listed that there was an Expo at 11:30, so we went to the UIC Pavilion around noon thinking there would be some cool vendors to check out. there was literally one Monster truck for VIPs and there was an empty parking lot to skate in. Not a single vendor selling anything or giving anything away. We left and came back around 2:00 and went into the venue thinking that there must be vendors or something else inside before the event started. There were a few tables with tech decks and there was one booth selling t-shirts and posters. I think there was a huge missed opportunity by Nike, DC, Thrasher and all of the other big names. They could have set up booths and had shoes, stickers, decks, etc. the event started at 3:00 for the preliminaries and the finals didn't start until 7:00. there were 5 heats and there were practices within each heat. The event was really dragged out. We didn't leave until around 8:15 once the winner was announced. 8 hours for any event is WAAAAAAYYYYY too long, especially when there was nothing else to do or see. I think cutting the practices and shortening this to 3 hours or so would be plenty. They're pros and they practiced all day before the event and during the event, we don;t need to watch them practice for another 8 hours!!!! It also would have been nice if more guys took time to sign autographs. The only skater that actually came into the stands was Evan Smith and he signed a ton of autographs for people. The other skaters pretty much ignored everyone unless the kids got their attention and practically begged for an autograph.
Hope to see the world tour come to Chicago again next year!
excellent venue with great parking space, good drinks and the set up was easy to navigate.
Really enjoyed myself but the staff were absolutely terrible. They were loud and rude. Very pessimistic and agonizing. Overall I'll probably go again next year if it's in Jersey.
The street league NJ event was electrifying. The energy was great and the skating way beyond compare.
