If the phrase "male a cappella group" conjures up an image of students in blue blazers, ties, and khakis singing traditional college songs on ivied campuses... think again. Straight No Chaser (SNC) are neither strait-laced nor straight-faced, but neither are they vaudeville-style kitsch.     Their harmonies were spot on, they were funny and the music varied from country, to rock & roll, to Lady Gaga. But you can't judge the song by the original artist - they changed things up in their own style. 10 men could sound like a whole orchestra and the bass was an amazing foundation for the rest of the harmonies. They had the audience on their feet by the end and, in great show-biz fashion, left 'em wanting more. I could easily go to the exact same show again and see something completely different. All of the guys had their bits to play and it was impossible to catch all of the sight-gags. SNC has no slouches in their group!

    These talented vocalists use no band - yet you forget that because their voices create the sound. Their version of "Billie Jean" - a complicated challenge was the BEST I've ever seen! The audience ranged from children with parents to senior citizens - and all were clapping, whistling and cheering... Next time they're nearby, we're buying a row of seats and taking everyone we know. As a point of reference - another favorite of ours, The Eagles, were here in June. We enjoyed SNC just as much.

    I didn't know you could laugh that hard and that much at a concert. They are amazing singers but also so funny. I looked at their schedule to see where they were going next and sent the information to family members telling them to not miss going to their concerts.

    I missed seeing SNC last year in Junction City because they were sold out. So once I saw that they were close, I bought tickets. Took my friend and we really enjoyed. My expectations were set by You Tube video's. The music is awesome because of the deep talent of each individual. The Humor was great as well! I will follow SNC and go again and expose more friends to their talent! Bought a CD and all my co workers listened to it the next day!

    First time seeing/hearing them live. Awesome!!! A must see for any age.. They are all unbelievably talented! They really love and enjoy what they are doing, and it shows!! The time went by very quickly and I can't wait for the next time I see them perform!!

    My husband and I much enjoyed the concert. It was so nice to see something that we both loved. Who wouldn't love SNC! I first fell in love with there christmas cd. I enjoy watching their videos on u tube.

    Straight No Chaser is the best kept secret in America! They were amazing!!! They were extremely entertaining and a lot funnier that I would have expected. If you are imagining and old school acapela group, you are way off. These boys will have you on the edge of your seat the entire show.

    This was my first time seeing Straight No Chaser live. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND seeing them...they are amazing in concert! You can tell that the guys love what they do and they have fun doing it! It was such a fun concert and a blast of an evening. I will definitely go see them again if they are in the area!

    This was so much fun! The group is full of talented singers who obviously have fun on the stage. The music is audible and understandable, and their antics on stage are such a delight to watch. We will attend their concert again one day I am sure!

    The guys are very talented and entertaining. The group sounded great! They performed a variety of songs but alot of pop songs which we liked alot. We had good seats and the Midland Theatre is a beautiful venue.

    These guys were AWESOME! They totally know how to put on a show. I had only heard a short clip of them before going to see them at Hoyt Sherman and I really hope you consider having them back to Des Moines. I really liked that they sang songs from different era's. Not only did they sing but they made you laugh too. It was a great night and can't wait to hear them again.

    Absolutely a great night out, we had a great time. I took a friend who had never seen Straight no Chaser so she was a virgin to the show. She absolutely enjoyed the show, there was never a down moment...never. I think they should end with the Lady Gaga tribute, that was fantastic! My friend and I thought they did Coldplay's "Fix You" almost better than Coldplay. The show is lively, fun and engaging. They have a good thing going here and can keep you engaged for the full 2hours. Lots of fun, I'd recommend this show for all ages and all music lovers.

    Straight No Chaser is so versatile and puts on an incredible show. Great voices, lots of variety, and lighting/sets enhance the visual effect without overwhelming the heart of the show--the music and skillful blending of voices. I would definitely see them again.
