About

Stone Temple Pilots on Tour

With over 70 million albums sold, Stone Temple Pilots roared on to the scene in 1992 with their raucous debut, Core. A breakout success, the album peaked #3 on the Billboard 200 chart, and dominated radio waves with hits like "Sex Type Thing," "Wicked Garden," and the Grammy-Award winning smash single, "Plush." STP quickly distinguished themselves as a band beholden to no trend. Boasting the inimitable riffs of guitarist Dean DeLeo, the propulsive rhythm section of bassist Robert DeLeo and drummer Eric Kretz, and the charismatic baritone of frontman Scott Weiland, STP ruled airways, video playlists and charts alike over their legendary career. The band released their seventh studio album, Stone Temple Pilots (2018), their first with new lead singer, Jeff Gutt. The debut single "Meadow" from the self-titled album, channels the gritty guitars and swaggering rhythms that STP is known for, and reached top 5 at rock radio. All Music Guide states, "They haven't lost their knack for hook-heavy hard rock that wedges its way into the subconscious."

Great concert, but not Scott or Chester

by Kihei on 7/4/22BMO Harris Pavilion - Milwaukee

This concert was absolutely amazing! The music was spot on the crowd was very into it. I had concerns about the lead singer as Scott and Chester obviously are far superior singers. This particular lead singer seems to put on an act of arrogance or meanness or something that is hard to put a finger on. However despite the fact that the lead singer is not really that great this concert just worked! I would definitely say going see them but if you ever saw a concert with either Scott or Chester you might be a little disappointed.

Good Show by Disturbed, Lamb of God and Chevelle

by Mark S. AA on 7/4/22BMO Harris Pavilion - Milwaukee

Very nice venue!!! My first time in the American Family Amphitheater. Love the music, vocals were often over powered by drums and bass. Second time I have seen/heard Disturbed. Still love them. Chevelles were great and Lamb of God was very good. Summerfest is an amazing time in Milwaukee / the United States.

Badass band at a badass festival

by Sarah on 6/16/22Showboat Festival Grounds - Atlantic City

I absolute loved STP they rocked it out and kept on going. They sound even better live!! The band exceeded my expectations and I lost my voice cheering and screaming along with. My only disappointment was that the crowd wouldn’t get into it but that’s okay!! STP didn’t get discouraged and they kept on playing louder and better. I kept getting nasty looks for trying to cheer them on but the band gave me a lil shoutout and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to get so close to the stage and show my support. Long live rock n roll! Best band ever!!

    really pretty darn good.

by Rob in Brooklyn on 5/31/22Palladium Times Square - New York City

I wasn't a STP fan really, until I saw them at PNC center before he died... I was a convert then: they are truly a massive stage presence. I don't know how to describe it... but I was a believer. With the new singer, I'm reminded of, maybe, Journey? in that 1. the original guys are just superstars. absolute legends... just in a some-people-got-it way... and 2. The new guy is pretty damn good. and humble, and fun. and I wish that band much success.

STP brought it and shows all other bands how its done!

by Jholey2023 on 5/25/22Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

Saw Stone Temple Pilots on Saturday, May 22nd at the legendary Casino Ballroom in Hampton Beach New Hampshire. The venue itself is a great place to see a live show as its a spacious layout, yet still holds about 2000 people. I know alot of people would have their doubts about anyone replacing Scott Weiland, who is my favorite frontman next to Jim Morrison. The doubters need not worry as X Factor finalist Jeff Gutt is more than capable! He has the stage presence, the look and the voice of a polished veteran! The band was super tight and the crowd was very excited to see this group do it's thing! The 12 song set included all the hits and fan favorites from the last 3 decades along with 2 of their newer songs from their self titled 2018 album, which fit seamlessly in the set. Highlights included Vasoline,Interstate Love Song, Wicked Garden and Big Bang Baby, along with Dead And Bloated, Piece Of Pie and the heavy Down. Big Empty was the highlight of the set, with the entire crowd singing the chorus!

    STP

by Rick on 5/25/22Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

The Casino is an excellent place to watch and listen to a show. You are on top of the band and the interaction is usually very good. The band was fantastic and the crowd was great. The sound was spot on and I had an incredible time. This was a great show. My only request would have been they played longer because they were so good but it was a great show.

    Awesome

by Dawn L on 5/25/22Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

Love this venue. It gives a more intimate atmosphere. STP was excellent as always.this was my 6th time seeing them. I’ve seen all 3 of there singers. Scott, of course, was my favorite. This new singer, Jeff, is real good. I go mainly to see the bass player, Robert Deleo, whom I adore. I love the music. Special moment of the night is when the audience sings their songs with them. Will always be a STP fan!

    STP Rocked the Beach!

by KM on 5/25/22Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

Man what a great show! Had never seen STP even though I was a fan starting back with their first album. The band was super tight and their singer Jeff Gut hit every note. Got to the show a little early and saw them from the second row. Amazing! I will check them out again if they play around here. Only downside is they didn't play a couple of my favorite songs, but hey, I can't make the set list.

    Amazing experience

by Brendan on 5/24/22Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

I was skeptical coming into this with a different lead singer (rip Scott Weiland) I have already seen this band 3 other times with Weiland at the helm. This had to of been one of the best shows I have ever seen. Couldn’t have picked a better front man than Jeff Gutt. He had the crowd into it and really interacted with the crowd. My wife isn’t that much into this genre of music that much she prefers country. She was all into it and loved every minute. This was one of my top 3 favorite bands ever , the nostalgia and excitement throughout the show was incredible. Well done show the Deleo brothers never disappoint on guitar and bass (each are one of my top favorite 10 favorite bassists and guitarists all time) and Eric KretZ with those drum fills and the heartbeat for each song is still dead on point. As I was once a musician, I can say this band hasn’t missed a beat after all these years, might even be getting stronger! Thank you guys for such an amazing experience.

    Take me to the Pilot

by Kurt on 5/24/22Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

Ok i channeled some Elton John, forgive me, but STP put on a totally riveting concert event that even Elton would be proud of. Hits, energy, showmanship, great vocals and instrumentals, fog, lights, and a very engaged crowd. STP exceeded my expectations and i cant wait to aee them again. Thanks STP.

by Curt on 5/24/22Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

I’ve been a huge STP fan since their first album core and never thought I’d enjoy seeing them without Scott Weiland but Jeff Gutt was phenomenal! Truly a great concert, one of my favorites!
