I kept telling my hubby that everyone needs to see this show. It was entertaining from beginning to end. The strength, agility, and timing of the cast are subhuman. Would highly recommend!
Absolutely amazing show everyone loved it especially my seven year old!
We enjoyed everything about this amazing show. The show is creative, innovative and pure fun. The actors were charming, funny and truly talented. Although there are no words, the actor's personalities shine through in their performance. I believe a STOMP inspired workout facility would be very popular!
STOMP was great. I only imagined seeing that kind of performance on Sesame Street, thanks for bringing it to Jackson,MS. Great Experience!
Wonderful family show - especially for middle aged and young men and for boys.
STOMP the program was really great. The items used to make music were quite varied and the sounds the group produced using them were amazing. My only issue was with the seating. Our seats were in the Mezzanine section, which no one in the place could direct us to. There were NO mezzanine signs, only orchestra and balcony signs, and the seats (located in the balcony section) were so close together that for a larger person (like me) it was a bit cramped but not overly so. However, any time anyone wanted to come in or leave any row in that upper seating area, everyone had to stand because there was no room for the people entering or leaving the row to pass if people were seated. You couldn't just turn sideways and let them pass, your feet would be stepped on and your knees bumped. I can't comment on the orchestra seating.
I expected fabulous percussion. The performance of Stomp delivered amazing drumming and percussion in the most unusual ways. Additionally, there was unbelievable choreographed movement with great physical finesse and stamina. It delivered beyond my expectations.
We wanted to see something different from the usual, and that’s what we got. Some of the “instruments” used were predictable, but some were hilariously unexpected. For example, the “thwack!” sound you make when you shake open a black plastic trash bag — would you ever have expected them to build a whole performance piece out of that? The most surprising was a piece built on rustling newspapers. The choreography was fun too, as was the audience participation in the patterned clapping at the end. It might have run just a tad long— there were a couple of pieces where i sneaked a quick nap— but overall, it was a triumph of intriguing creativity.
Lots of energy. Great beats. Unexpected humor. Beautiful, two level set.
I took my wife, children, and grandchildren to the show. Sixteen (16) in all. Ages 3 to 76. This is one of the few shows that kids and adults of all ages can enjoy together. My wife and I saw the show 25 years ago. We liked it then and we liked it now. I was pleasantly surprised by the comedy and humor that was so much a part of the show. Great blend of musical performance and comedy. My 6 year old said he thought he had "used up all of his laughter", after one funny skit. The performers showed a lot of talent with both the musical performance and the comedy. It was a fun day for our large family. I highly recommend the show.
I went to see the show both Friday and Saturday and enjoyed both performances. Unfortunately Friday’s show was partial blocked by the 2 people sitting in front of me!! Too bad the floor seats I had couldn’t have a better view. Saturday’s view was great because I sat in the handicapped section of the 1st Terrace. Both shows were good but different presentation.
STOMP did not disappoint! Creative, engaging, and they managed quite the humor and personality even thou they never talk or sing! My 13 yr old Grandson and I loved the show! Highly recommend!
Stomp was awesome!! The cast was incredible and interacted with the audience in such a way that we were fully engaged all evening. The talent is insane but I loved how their personalities came through and drew us in. A must see show for couples, families and people of all ages!!!!!
Two hour performance, wow. Loved the drama mixed with the music. My 14 year old and my 5 year old grandchildren enjoyed the performance as well. Would go again.
We loved STOMP!! It's a show for the whole family, so entertaining & engaging!
You can make sound & create music with just about anything! My second time seeing them. Loved the interaction with the audience & the silent comic relief. Look forward to your next show!
I enjoyed the first performance outside a kids performance (I’ve been as a teacher and with my own children). It was really wonderful.
The show was good! My seats in the first Terrace Handicap section were a clear view of the stage. Because the seats were so close to the door my seat mates were distracted and bothered by the door opening/closing and the ushers etc. talking. I had a good time. Glad the show came through Indy!!
Loved every minute of it!! The precision, the rhythm, and the interaction among cast members was phenomenal!!
