STICK FIGURE IN CONCERT:
SoCal dub reggae outfit Stick Figure has been steadily on the rise for the past decade, but they truly arrived in 2015 with Set in Stone, a critical masterstroke that topped both the Reggae and Heatseekers Albums charts. The project began as the one-man band of singer and multi-instrumentalist Scott Woodruff, but ever since the success of 2012's Burial Ground (No. 1 on the Indie charts) Woodruff has been on the road with a full band that helps bring his laid-back jams to trippy new heights. Their live shows feature upbeat reggae guitar riffs, dub bass grooves, relaxed vocal harmonies, and the good vibes of the band's dog Cocoa, who chills on stage during their sets. It's a total party anytime Stick Figure kicks out irie jams like "Hawaii Song" and "Smokin' Love", and ticket buyers can't help but get swept up in the feel-good island vibes.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Scott Woodruff started writing, performing, and recording albums in the mid-'00s under the name Stick Figure, a nod to his high school nickname. His sophomore album Burnin' Ocean was named one of the Top 10 Best Reggae Albums of 2008 by iTunes, and in 2009 his third album Smoke Stack cracked the Top 10 on Billboard's Reggae Albums chart. After relocating to San Diego Woodruff started recording and performing with a full band, and in 2012 the group found success with Burial Ground, a No. 1 on the Indie charts that drew them out for extensive touring. Since then they've hit the road in support of acts like Rebelution and The Green while also impressing on headlining tours of their own. Stick Figure's 2015 album Set in Stone marked their first No. 1 on the Reggae Albums chart, a huge milestone that has their loyal fans ready to celebrate at the band's upcoming shows.
What An amazing show!! Hands down One of the best I’ve ever attended. Stick Figures energy was electric and the entire crowd seemed to be riding the same vibes. The visuals were on point and really heightened the experience. Looking forward to seeing them again!!!

Stick Figure and Pepper and Slightly Stoopid guys all put on a great show. The venue was cool. Plenty of space. No chairs, this show was lawn only. I have to admit, the bathrooms were shockingly great. Clean. And the ladies working in the women's room kept traffic moving so well I never missed the show. In and out. Very rare to be commenting on the bathroom situation, but it was a highlight.
The vibe was so chill ,the set up ,the sound,the people!!created a memorable Stick Figure show!! They played great ,man can’t wait to go back…
This show was the best I’ve ever been too!! The venue was amazing. The entrance line wasn’t too long. Bathroom line was short. And across the group is the best ever!!

Best concert ever! Stick was so killer and having special performances from Stoopid. Sublime etc was mind blowing.
Hands down one of the top 5 concerts of my life! The venue is just beautiful, right on the water, with the city skyline in the background, it was hypnotic. My only suggestion would be more drink carts conveniently located throughout, with a sold out show the line for alcoholic beverages was a little extreme and without ropes or anything to designate the lines, it was a little chaotic. That was a small issue compared to the magical concert that ensued. I watched the whole process of the Shell being built a couple years ago, and I’m so thankful I got to experience the first reggae concert at the Rady Shell!
The Venue was Beautiful. Stick Figure was on Point! Still feeling the music high! would see them in a heartbeat if they played near by more often. Kudos to the Band & guesting SS. Thank you for your musical goodness in the world!
WONDERFUL show! I am always skeptical seeing an artist perform live for the first time (for me) and it was truly incredible! The energy, the interaction with the crowd, and even the visuals. What a great venue as well! Will absolutely be seeing Stick Figure again!
Seeing Stick Figure at the Rady shell couldn’t have been any better. I wanted to live that over and over the rest of the night. I almost bought tickets to see them again in CO! It was everything
Best Event ever been too! Beautifully venue and there was plenty of space for all 10,000 of us! The sound was amplified by the Shell, the weather was perfect! I will come back to this place for future events, especially Stick Figure!!!
Everything about this concert was amazing. The performances, the venue, the staff, the punctuality. Hands down best Stick Figure concert I've been too!!! Thank you to all of the musicians for playing their hearts out.
One of the best shows we seen in ages! Great graphics, pyrotechnics and of course the sound,
Over an hour to get a drink. 20 minutes to get into the bathroom. You had way too many people at this venue. I left early.
The concert from beginning to end was AMAZING. Pre-Bands; Elovaters and Pepper were great and added to the evening. Purchasing the VIP passes was the smartest thing ever! We got there early - about 4:30 and we’re only 20 feet from the stage. Only negative was standing for 5 & 1/2 hours! After 2 back surgeries I had to take a few breaks and fight the crowds to get to the entrance area where I could stretch out and relax the back muscles. Luckily, there were enough tokers around the stage to help lessen the pain when I was there 😁
Just saw them at the Shell in San Diego. Awesome show! Played mostly newer stuff, and a couple covers (Sublime). Slightly Stoopid showed up to sing Higher. That was incredible. Great visuals to match the music. Oh yeah, Cocoa was also great.
This crew has the best vibes I’ve ever experienced. The show was pure love, high energy and nothing short of a full on blast. I danced the whole time. You know you’re in good company when everyone around you is singing along! Epic 🙏🏼
