STICK FIGURE IN CONCERT:
SoCal dub reggae outfit Stick Figure has been steadily on the rise for the past decade, but they truly arrived in 2015 with Set in Stone, a critical masterstroke that topped both the Reggae and Heatseekers Albums charts. The project began as the one-man band of singer and multi-instrumentalist Scott Woodruff, but ever since the success of 2012's Burial Ground (No. 1 on the Indie charts) Woodruff has been on the road with a full band that helps bring his laid-back jams to trippy new heights. Their live shows feature upbeat reggae guitar riffs, dub bass grooves, relaxed vocal harmonies, and the good vibes of the band's dog Cocoa, who chills on stage during their sets. It's a total party anytime Stick Figure kicks out irie jams like "Hawaii Song" and "Smokin' Love", and ticket buyers can't help but get swept up in the feel-good island vibes.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Scott Woodruff started writing, performing, and recording albums in the mid-'00s under the name Stick Figure, a nod to his high school nickname. His sophomore album Burnin' Ocean was named one of the Top 10 Best Reggae Albums of 2008 by iTunes, and in 2009 his third album Smoke Stack cracked the Top 10 on Billboard's Reggae Albums chart. After relocating to San Diego Woodruff started recording and performing with a full band, and in 2012 the group found success with Burial Ground, a No. 1 on the Indie charts that drew them out for extensive touring. Since then they've hit the road in support of acts like Rebelution and The Green while also impressing on headlining tours of their own. Stick Figure's 2015 album Set in Stone marked their first No. 1 on the Reggae Albums chart, a huge milestone that has their loyal fans ready to celebrate at the band's upcoming shows.

Easily one of the best shows I’ve been to. The energy is spot on and these guys can put on a show! They sound amazing live. Can’t wait to see them again in the future ❤️
The venue, Tahoe Blue Event Center in South Lake Tahoe was well laid out and really, not a bad seat in the house. Great accommodations were close by. Very long line to get in (outside in the snow) even after doors had been open over an hour. The food choices were not really as advertised (vegetarian and vegan options), but the lines for food and drinks moved quickly. We had ADA seating and staff were confused about seating arrangements, ADA wristbands, or locations. That said, everyone was helpful and friendly. Stick Figure put on a fantastic show, and it was great seeing Coco. (Please consider donating to the Coco Foundation which helps rescue dogs..see SF website).
The music was awesome , the sound was amazing security was cool 😎 and plenty of parking for over height vehicles!! Killer venue
They played for over 2 hours and did an amazing job with the crowd.. Great effects on stage from lazers to pyrotechnics! The production they use for their stage performance are next level..
Waiting for the chance to be part of the bragging group that had a great time... love this band !!!
Seeing Stick figure live is nothing short of life changing! You will never be the same and will yearn to see them again! The music is like medicine to my heart and soul! I needed this music to help me to grow and evolve in my Life and I will be forever grateful to Scott for eternity for making music that changed my life so much more for the better! Much respect to this man! ❤️
Best show i have ever been to. All the bands were great, but Stick Figure was FANTASTIC! I look forward to seeing them again.
props to the bands elevators, pepper and stick figure. the out door setup sounds awsome at salt shed! theoutdoor stage and lighting were top notch. awsome vibes with great people.
It was an enjoyable show overall. The Salt Shed is a cool place, even outside. The sight lines are good if you’re up close but the amount of open pot smoking forced us to stand further back with only a distant view of the stage. The only time we saw the performers was on the video screen behind the stage when they were shown. The band was entertaining and the sound system was very good even at a distance. It was a fun show that could have been better.
Great show with Elovators and Pepper. All three bands mixed together during each set. First time at the Salt Shed. Impressed with the sound and the service from the staff.
Grabbed tickets the day they were released and I'm glad I did since this event sold out 2+ months before the event. This was my first time at The Salt Shed and I really liked the venue. It held 5000 people I believe and never felt crowded or had any issues. Vendors had a wide variety of options for food and drinks. Great vibe and if course an amazing show from Stick Figure, Pepper, and The Elevators.
Great venue! Very Clean! The sound and setup was awesome! Can’t wait to go back again!
Stick figure was epic! Both Pepper and the Elovators were spot on and performed with the guys from Stick Figure. The sound was spot on. Lighting and effects were excellent also. I can’t wait to see them again!
It was amazing. Stick Figure engages with their audience and I was elated to be able to see them live. They are even better live! I loved seeing Cocoa too! Kevin was awesome and interacted with me throughout the show. It was literally the most memorable experience of my life. Thank you so much!!!!
Stick Figure rocked it out. Love love them!!! ❤️❤️❤️ A most excellent show!
Stick Figure is the most energetic group I've seen in years. Their music is both lyrically tight and their sound is awesome. Their performance will leave you wanting more. If not for the curfew we'd still be partying. Don't miss this group if you get the opportunity to see them. They don't disappoint. As a 73 yr old I've found a new vibe in music which just revitalizes my love for music. One great night in Chicago. The Salt Shed is a great venue btw.
We waited 3 years to see them when our first planned concert was canceled during Covid. While The Salt Shed in Chicago isn’t Red Rock it was a great venue! Stick Figure didn’t disappoint! They were absolutely amazing!!! Can’t wait to see them again! What an incredibly talented group is musicians. They always make you feel like they are your family hanging around playing some great music to chill to. KBong owns a little piece of my heart! His energy and infectious smile is nothing short of amazing!! If you haven’t made the trek to a city near you to see them live do it!!
I waited 7 years to see stick figure live and it was the best night of my life!
Stick Figure did not disappoint, they were amazing!
