STEVEN TYLER IN CONCERT:
Rock and roll icon and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has wowed fans with his inimitable style and virtuosic singing for the past 40-plus years, and he continues to drive fans wild with his legendary showmanship and signature soaring vocals. Now, he's stepping away from "The Bad Boys from Boston" for the first time ever to embark on a solo tour, the appropriately titled Steven Tyler…Out on a Limb Tour. In addition to performing Aerosmith classics like "Walk This Way," "Dream On," and "Sweet Emotion," Tyler will treat ticket buyers to a whole new dynamic when he tackles the bluegrass and country selections off his 2016 album We're All Somebody from Somewhere. Whether he's branching out into new styles or kicking out the arena rock anthems he helped make famous with Aerosmith, Steven Tyler is sure to bring the house down with his powerhouse vocals and trademark charisma.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Aerosmith formed in 1970 after Steven Tyler convinced a group of first-rate New England-area musicians to move into a Boston apartment together. They went on to become the highest-selling American rock act in history thanks to classic hits like "Walk This Way" and "Dream On." The band entered a rough patch in the early-'80s that saw the departures of guitarists Joe Perry and Brad Whitford, but things were back on track by mid-decade when the classic lineup reunited. They got a boost in 1986 when Tyler was tapped by rappers Run D.M.C. for their cover of "Walk This Way, a major hit that introduced Aerosmith to a new generation of fans. The band struck while the iron was hot and released 1987's Permanent Vacation, which went five times platinum and earned them heavy video rotation on MTV and VH1. Aerosmith's reign continued in the '90s with albums like 1993's Get a Grip, a massive commercial success that earned them two Grammys. They had another banner year in 2001, playing the Super Bowl XXXV Halftime Show and getting inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In addition to his work with Aerosmith, Tyler has become a widely recognized celebrity in his own right, notably appearing as a judge on American Idol from 2010 to 2015. He thrilled fans in 2016 with the announcement of his first solo record, the country-influenced We're All Somebody from Somewhere. No matter what style he's working in, Steven Tyler always delivers a performance worthy of a music legend with undeniable skill and tons of infectious energy.
Great concert, would definitely spend the money to see Mr. Steven Tyler again!
Loved seeing Steven Tyler in Seattle! I've seen Aerosmith many times and love their shows, but it was really great seeing a different side of Steven Tyler! He is truly gifted and an amazing entertainer who never ever disappoints! Hope to see him and Aerosmith for more years to come. Can't imagine they would retire anytime soon when they are still the best rock band there is!
He is a showman that just keeps on going all night long! Great show!
From the time he came out on stage, to the final notes...Steven's personality, musical abilities and storytelling had you wishing it would never end! I would have given this show 5 stars, but the sound mix was a bit off for the first half of the show and, to be frank, I felt it was too short...which is selfish I know! An hour and 40 minutes just didn't seem like long enough to hear the stories and get wrapped up in the web Steven was spinning. Overall, Loving Mary did a fantastic job backing Steven's larger than life personality and showmanship and this event cemented my feelings for all things Aerosmith!! And gave me a new appreciation for a little band called Loving Mary!
Excellent performance in a great venue. had a great time
Steven Tyler is simply smazing! Hands down by far one if not the best concerts ive ever been to! Macaw hall is awesome! I frlt like i was watching him in his livingroom, do close snd personal and still performs like the true rockstar thst he is! Phenomenal!!!!!!
The Steven Tyler Out On A Limb show was awesome! He sang a lot of the Aerosmith songs and his band sounded every bit as good as Aerosmith. He was great with the crowd. Would definitely recommend going to this show.
Great show from beginning to end. Steven full of energy. Fun to hear him interact with the audience. McCaw Hall perfect venue for this performance. Seats were in 2nd balcony but still had a good view. Look forward to getting new CD released this week.
I took my daughter to this concert for her 25th birthday and was just absolutely incredible. We both had the time of our life. Steven is funny, entertaining, incredible singer and instrument player, just incredible.
I've seen Aerosmith a few times and listen to them all the time - Steven live is amazing. He is a consummate performer. He commands the stage with his voice and his antics! His band all seem to be having a great time and he was effusive in his praise of their work. I didn't sit down the whole show.
As we were on a holiday trip from the Netherlands we ha the luck to be able to be in Seattle to see this rock legend in action. And it was brilliant. Where most old rockers loose their range and power Steven Tyler still has the pipes and the moves. And knows how to entertain every minute!
In the simplest of terms....this show was amazing. His voice sounded in edible and welll....he is most likely the best front man ever. Exceeded all expectations.
Go--u won't be disappointed. Voice and energy are just amazing
Steven Tyler is an entertainer! Excellent performance. Kept the crowd involved. Also a great band. Was nice seeing him in an intimate setting and without Aerosmith backing him up. His several country songs are great.
Not only did we enjoy the smaller venue than he usually plays, the mix of old & new songs kept us at the edge of our seats. Also loved his 'tales' in between. So glad we attended this great concert!
He was Amazing! Loved the small venue..the mix of the Old and New songs! Would love to see it again! However, would choose different seats going into this venue. I would not recommend sitting next to the mixer booth! The people that were there, were disrespectful with their loud conversation that didn't appear to have to do with their jobs. Some of them didn't appear to be working.. possible friends just there maybe, can't be sure.. very distracting from the show at times!
I was nervous that it would be all folksie and just his country stuff. Not so! He opened with Sweet Emotion and continued to exceed expectations all night long! Amazing! Mostly Aerosmith music with some of his country songs sprinkled in there. Good stuff!
The Concert was incredible. All my favorite songs. I will be there next time
Steven Tyler can SING ...really well constructed concert experience ...puts everything out there immediately ...ALL the great songs U want 2 hear from beginning to end ... There was no tease ...he opened w a song U think is a great finale song but his playlist is so phenomenal he can afford to just open his mouth n sing whatever he wants ..This is how the great rock n roll concerts are done by legends ... How this guy wails out song after song is a gift ...All talent ...nothing masked by lip syncing, explosives , backup dancers ...raw raw undeniable talent combined with musicians on the stage that could headline a concert of their own .... Steven Tyler is an extraordinary talent with a giving soul ...if U have an opportunity to grab a ticket don't hesitate ....
Was Great to see S. Tyler Still Hitting All the Notes. Nice to see him doing Aerosmith's songs,(& a few covers) but with a different flair. Yes, a country backing band, But Kicked Ass
