STEVEN TYLER IN CONCERT:
Rock and roll icon and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has wowed fans with his inimitable style and virtuosic singing for the past 40-plus years, and he continues to drive fans wild with his legendary showmanship and signature soaring vocals. Now, he's stepping away from "The Bad Boys from Boston" for the first time ever to embark on a solo tour, the appropriately titled Steven Tyler…Out on a Limb Tour. In addition to performing Aerosmith classics like "Walk This Way," "Dream On," and "Sweet Emotion," Tyler will treat ticket buyers to a whole new dynamic when he tackles the bluegrass and country selections off his 2016 album We're All Somebody from Somewhere. Whether he's branching out into new styles or kicking out the arena rock anthems he helped make famous with Aerosmith, Steven Tyler is sure to bring the house down with his powerhouse vocals and trademark charisma.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Aerosmith formed in 1970 after Steven Tyler convinced a group of first-rate New England-area musicians to move into a Boston apartment together. They went on to become the highest-selling American rock act in history thanks to classic hits like "Walk This Way" and "Dream On." The band entered a rough patch in the early-'80s that saw the departures of guitarists Joe Perry and Brad Whitford, but things were back on track by mid-decade when the classic lineup reunited. They got a boost in 1986 when Tyler was tapped by rappers Run D.M.C. for their cover of "Walk This Way, a major hit that introduced Aerosmith to a new generation of fans. The band struck while the iron was hot and released 1987's Permanent Vacation, which went five times platinum and earned them heavy video rotation on MTV and VH1. Aerosmith's reign continued in the '90s with albums like 1993's Get a Grip, a massive commercial success that earned them two Grammys. They had another banner year in 2001, playing the Super Bowl XXXV Halftime Show and getting inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In addition to his work with Aerosmith, Tyler has become a widely recognized celebrity in his own right, notably appearing as a judge on American Idol from 2010 to 2015. He thrilled fans in 2016 with the announcement of his first solo record, the country-influenced We're All Somebody from Somewhere. No matter what style he's working in, Steven Tyler always delivers a performance worthy of a music legend with undeniable skill and tons of infectious energy.
I LOVE Steven Tyler. This concert was the 14th time I’ve seen him live and this time was one of the best! The loving Mary band and Steven have great chemistry and perform well together. I would go see this concert 1,000 times over and I highly recommend it to any fan of Aerosmith and/or Steven Tyler!!
Steven Tyler is still going strong! He looks great and sounds great, even though he was just getting over being sick. He sang mostly Aerosmith songs, which surprised me, but I was actually very happy that he did. I think he only sang 3 songs from his country album. He’s a great entertainer!
Steven Tyler is the best front man no matter who he’s playing with.
Steven Tyler was amazing and I always enjoy shows at the rocksino. It's an intimate setting and I think anywhere you sit is a good seat. However, I was a little disappointed with my VIP seating. The tickets were quite expensive...although, for a good cause....but I would have much rather enjoyed sitting in one of the first few rows.
The concert was great! Steven did an amazing show and the Loving Mary Band was right up there with the best. I loved it! It has been on my list of must do! The Hard Rock venue was nice and people there very friendly and hlepful. Great valet service for a reasonable price of $7.00. The concert was a benefit for Akron Children's Hospital. All proceeds from the show went to the hospital. Thank you Steven for doing that! We drove for 6 hrs. to get there and we would do it again. Worth it!
The show was awesome, but with the rows being all even not tiered it was hard to see. But his show was awesome!
Was such a great concert. Steven Tyler still rules. The combination of his vocals with the very talented Loving Mary band made for a unique and special evening.

Loved the concert! He’s amazing! However my son is in wheelchair and couldn’t see a thing with everyone standing up during concert, this issue needs addressed
An evening filled with pleasant surprises. For starters the Sisterhood Band was an amazing opening act. Alyssa Bonagura keeps the pace with hooky riff after riff of acoustic guitar joy. While Ruby Stewart lays down the melodic foundation and both blend beautifully with two part harmony bliss. A trip back in time when the two embark on an endearing rendition of Ruby's father's (Rod Stewart) classic Gasoline Alley. Having a brief minute to meat the dynamic duo, they are as charming as they are talented. Get out to see the Sisterhood Band! Steven Tyler, suffering the remnants of a cold performed with the raw vocal power we have come to know while giving us an intimate, introspective talk about some of the songs origins and all the while blending new and old tracks to keep all ages of fans interested. The Loving Mary Band is a POWERHOUSE and needs more credit than the byline they receive. Bolstering a strong performance by Tyler, I look forward to the opportunity to see more of this band on it's own!
What a refreshing night! Loved all the different music played From Aerosmith, Led Zephlin, Beatles , To Steven Tyler’s country!
Steven Tyler and The Loving Mary band were great. The warmup band Sisterhood was terrible. Just 2 girls playing guitar and every song they did sounded the same. Don't know how they got on this tour, my husband says they must know someone.
He was awesome. I love the small venue. He's still got it .

Steven Tyler and the band were awesome! He sounded perfect and sang a lot of his Aerosmith songs- the band did an excellent job - has a lot of energy. His country songs were great as well. You could tell he and the band were haveing fun and enjoying themselves . He talked in between songs to the audience and he even came out into the audience at one point and sang. He looks great and what a nice guy.... 100% of the proceeds went to Charity. Everyone there had a lot of fun and a very memorable time!
Wanted more classic Aerosmith tunes but only got about three of them. Steven was just putting in the motions and letting his band do all the work. Disappointing to say the least!
Still outstanding after all these years. A truly amazing showman with a kaboodle of soul. What an entertainer. WOW
very intimate surroundings, everywhere feels close to the stage. staff was very helpful and polite and no long wait times for drinks.
Not a bad seat in the house at the Sound Board at Motor City Casino! Would recommend this venue to all! Great time!
