About

Comedian Steve Treviño is "America's Favorite Husband." He can "speak wife fluently," he never calls "the guys" for help on a home project, and he knows better than to "make his own decisions," since decision-making is a privilege reserved solely for his wife, Renae.

His relatable approach affirms his status as one of the country's premiere stand-up comedians, viewed over 300 million times, selling-out shows across the nation, and amassing over 3.5 million total social media followers.

Today, the comedian has had stand-up specials with Amazon, NETFLIX, Showtime to name few. In March 2024, Steve released his first Netflix Original special, Steve Treviño: Simple Man. Steve lives his life and reports it to you. He tells us what it's like living with a Type-A Virgo wife, squabbling over containers and pizza parties. Steve shares nostalgic tales of his dad's broken-down truck, an unlikely love story and how to face the challenges of raising spoiled kids today. As a husband, father and son, Steve is just doing the best he can as a Simple Man. The special was filmed at the Tobin Center in San Antonio and directed by his wife Renae Treviño. Simple Man hit The Top Ten TV Shows streaming on Netflix the first week it premiered, and has since garnered over 100 million minutes watched.

In 2012, Steve's first Showtime special, Grandpa Joe's Son, staked out a spot in the Nielsen Top 20 when it first premiered. From the success of that special, he funded, produced, and shot his 2014 hit special, Relatable, which landed on Netflix. To promote the special, he uploaded the clip, "When Your Wife Comes Home From Shopping." It exploded, generating over 56 million views on Facebook alone and paving the way for his other viral clips like "When You Ask Your Wife If She Wants McDonald's" (21 million views). In 2018, Trevino released the follow-up special, Steve Trevino 'Til Death on Amazon Prime. In 2022, he once again self-produced his fifth special, I Speak Wife that released on YouTube garnering over 6 million views.

In honor of Treviño's achievements in entertainment and comedy, the city of San Antonio presented the comedian with their prestige Emissary of the Muses certificate on November 24th, 2023.

In 2020, he and his wife, Renae, unveiled a joint weekly podcast entitled "Steve Treviño and Captain Evil." On the podcast, the couple navigate the treacherous topics of relationships, family and stand-up comedy. All while trying to stay married. Since launching, the podcast has generated over 1.5 million views/streams.

He regularly raises money for Helicopters for Heroes, an organization benefiting veterans, for whom he helped raise over $1.5 million in the past two years.

Steve lives in New Braunfels, TX with Captain Evil and their son and daughter. He will be kicking off his new tour, The Good Life in 2024. For more dates and info go-to: www.stevetrevino.com.

Great experience seeing Steve. He is a very relatable & funny guy, joking about real life situations. So glad I got to see him live. Would definitely see him again!

  • Great headliner but poor venue

by Christina p on 9/16/25Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 3 out of 5

Steve Trevino is so funny and we really enjoyed his comedy! The showroom at Talkingstick resort was not what I was expecting. We had bought general admission tickets and nowhere in our purchase process was it mentioned that there would be standing room only. When we got to the venue, they scanned our tickets and didn’t give us any directions so we just grabbed a seat thinking it was open seating as general admission (like every other comedy club is in Phoenix). After sitting through the warm-up comedian, an usher rudely informed us that we were in someone else’s seats, and that we need to just stand in the back of .When we got to the venue, they scanned our tickets and didn’t give us any directions so we just grabbed a seat thinking it was open seating as general admission. After sitting through the warm-up comedian, an usher rudely informed us that we were in someone else’s seat and that we needed to stand in the back of the room. It would’ve been nice if we receive some instructions when the original ushers were scanning tickets as it seemed to be chaotic. Overall disappointment in the seating arrangements and the lack of open transparency when selling the tickets.

  • Venue not as expected

by DT on 9/16/25Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 3 out of 5

When first looking into tickets there were no pictures of the venue available so when you go in person it’s not anything that you would have thought. Steve Treviño was amazing but some of the material was repeat from his show last year. Still had a great time but suggest venue pictures to help others when looking into events at Talking Stick Resort Salt River Ballroom.

  • Funny Show

Steve didn't disappoint! Great Show! The seats were a little to close together and small for a large adult. I felt like I was in my neighbors lap.

  • Greatest comedian ever

I’ve watched a lot of stand up comedies and this has by far been the best one in person hands down.

  • Superb Show

by Darlin on 8/12/25Beau Rivage Theatre - BiloxiRating: 5 out of 5

Steve was awesome. It was our very first time seeing him. Honestly, we had not heard of him until this show. His comedy is real life and relatable. He is so genuine as well. He had the audience in stitches. Highly recommend his shows! We will see him again!

  • Amazing!!! Absolutely loved the show!

by Shaun on 8/11/25Beau Rivage Theatre - BiloxiRating: 5 out of 5

Steve was great from the moment he walked out. Absolutely amazing. All of his bits were on point. It was all new material for me so everything he said was fresh and funny. What I really loved was at the end of the show he honored the veterans. With that he also told us about his non profit for veterans. Hogs for heroes. I will definately be looking into that.

  • Steve was great, BUT the opening act...

by PCdoctor on 8/11/25Beau Rivage Theatre - BiloxiRating: 4 out of 5

Steve himself gave a great set about his family life. The opening act was subpar for Steve. Just wasn't funny. Ok, maybe two jokes.. Maybe the reason is to ensure that Steve comes across as Great! ??? the other disappointment was that his Steve's on stage presence was exactly 1hr and was hoping for just "a little bit more".. Ticket pricing was fair for then venue location and would definitely consider seeing him again.

  • absolutely wonderful

This guy is a trip. We laughed so much and related to a lot of what was said. He was one of the funniest comedians I have seen in a while. I will be looking forward to the next time he come in our area to see him again. I truly appreciated the fact he enjoys doing things for our veterans and helping them in many way.
