About

STEVE MOAKLER IN CONCERT:

Country crooner Steve Moakler has been leaving fans "Love Drunk" with his feel-good, fun-loving performances on tour. The Nashville-based singer-songwriter blends old-time country chops with a modern indie sensibility, and the result is a rousing hybrid sound that is at once fresh and familiar. Moakler is altogether comfortable in his own skin, and his warm voice and relaxed stage presence encourage fans to shed their inhibitions. In concert he tempers upbeat tunes like "Rather Make a Living" with world-wise, confessional songs including "Suitcase" and "Damn, Do I Think About You," and the result is a dynamic show that gives ticket buyers a first-hand look at his many moods. Whether he's performing solo with an acoustic guitar or rocking out with is talented backing band, Steve Moakler always impresses with his friendly, relatable voice and evocative songwriting.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

New Jersey-born, Pittsburgh-raised singer-songwriter Steve Moakler moved to Nashville in 2006 to pursue his dreams of becoming a country star. He cut his teeth gigging around town and writing songs for artists like Ben Rector and Jake Owen, and in 2009 he self-released his debut album All the Faint Light. Moakler's reputation steadily grew with 2011's Watching Time Run and 2014's Wide Open, both of which garnered critical praise and cracked the Top 10 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart. Encouraged by the chart success, he continued to generate buzz in 2015 with a mixtape release and a songwriting credit on Dierks Bentley's hit single "Riser," which he co-wrote with Travis Meadows. 2016 proved a watershed moment for the rising star – in addition to making his Grand Ole Opry debut and scoring his first appearance on the Top Country Albums chart with a self-titled EP, Moakler joined Old Dominion on a major national tour that introduced his fresh sound to fans across the country.

Drew Baldridge amazing, Smithfield has a new fan!

by HeatherPhilipp on 5/8/17Triple Rock Social Club - Minneapolis

All three performances where great. I attended for Drew Baldridge, walked out not only having a great time with Drew's set but Smithfield...oh my goodness. Their set was not even done and I went to Apple music and downloaded their cd. Steve Moekler was pretty good as well. Would have liked to have heard more of Smithfield and Drew though. Highway Finds Tour definitely worth attending. Only reason why I did not give 5 stars, and it is not the tours fault, Triple Rock Social Club has no parking in the area around the club, it's by permit only. So had to find parking in what I would call a not so friendly area, so felt a little uncomfortable in that area. Otherwise the tour itself does receive 5 stars!!

    Drew Baldridge is fantastic!

by kcmmh on 4/17/17The Bronze Peacock at House of Blues Houston - Houston

We went to see Drew Baldridge. He is a great entertainer and had the crowd dancing and singing the whole time. He has great stage presence and I love the way he interacts with his band. The band is not just backup for him, they are part of the show and were dancing as well. This group has a good time together and it shows. I love the way Drew smiles the whole time so you know he is doing what he loves. Although I am not a big country music fan, I have had his songs in my head ever since the concert.

Smithfield were a very pleasant surprise as we didn't know who Steve Moakler's opener was for the evening. They were professional, great musicians and really got the crowd going. Steve Moakler was outstanding. His showmanship, connection with the crowd and mix of talk and play was perfect! Great evening!

by Misterios on 5/3/16Mercury Lounge - New York

Steve Moakler and his band put on a great show! Only negative is that someone changed the start time just hours before the show causing me to rush into the city and miss the beginning of the show. Nice small venue and great sound.
